For those that want to see the entry lists, there's a space after "&evt_key=" in the URL that doesn't belong there.

So, remove the space, or the 'code' for space, %20, whichever way your browser renders it, and it'll work.

$20 says we crash the site...

The black helicopter in me thinks this is a play, when it does crash, for IT department funding for better equipment. Thing is, with such a small IT dept, and it not being an IT company... no one in a non-it position of authority can tell the difference that it's a problem with the code, coding, and not necessarily the equipment.

It's something a devious IT person would do. Throttle it back/filter the traffic *just the right amount*. When it crashes? "See I told you so. We need better equipment. Here's my list."

Posted this on SCCA forums (sccabb)

I know this isn't your fault Nancy but I would like to just throw out there that I've written 2 different online registration applications for two SCCA regions. They have all praised them in usability and administrative functionality.

I could zip the code up and email it to someone there at SCCA if it would help to get registration working better.

Or, I could write a new one but you'd have to switch away from ASP as Microsoft has failed miserably in the dynamic web server area. IIS is no longer an acceptable industry standard for an application server.

This is ridiculous. I've been trying to register for over an hour for my very first ProSolo experience and so far, I want no part of it if I can't even get registered for the freaking event!!!

I just got a voicemail from Nancy to get the last 4 of my cc number that wasn't on the fax form. I didn't mean to leave it off....honest! Hopefully that means I was next in line to get charged for the entry. If she reads the email I responded with almost immediately, I should be in......

What a circus act.......

EDIT: Just checked the ninja link above....entrycount at 229 at the moment.....and I'm in. I just wonder how a faxed form with HOOSIER circled, STILL ends up as Kumho on the entry list.......

Just noticed that, this is going to be a blast! Still 4 spots left...for now.

14 STUers. Only 2 people I don't know. Nuts.

9 people in ESP, 4 are subies. I know Chris in person, and know of Greg and Karen by name only. Chris and I were at the last pro in FLR if anyone remembers us (both were 06 WRX's). I'm sure Jay remembers me. He was teaching me how to reset a timing belt at 2am in a gas station parking lot.

^^^ would have been ten and I could have represented the 2L ESP WRX's...

Just got home. 230 registered. Tried to register (thinking entry cap was 250) and was denied stating the "waiting list was not enabled". Then why the **** did it let me attempt? This ams scca registration site is pure ****.

Starting tomorrow: Selling your spot at the DC pro to the highest bidder.

Sorry you didn't get in. I was looking forward to meeting people I "know" by pictures and names. I wouldn't have signed up if my friend hadn't texted to remind me.

several of the 230 spots on the entry list are repeats...so expect a few people to get in just from weeding out the dups

I'm in... yay <3

Faxed the form in after screwing around with two different computers for 45 minutes. Got the email confirmation two hours later. :)

What does everyone do for a place to stay? Camp? Hotel? Any in particular?

Camp? - Not in the DC area (not allowed at fedex and you would not want to if they did)
Hotel? - That is going to be your best bet. Not sure where people are staying.

"best bet" if you don't mind driving a little bit may be go up to somewhere right off of 29/95 north of the beltway a little bit. Somewhere like Laurel. Still close to the site, but a better/cheaper area.

I remember you Mechie3. Hope you haven't had to dig into that motor any further since last summer. That said...DC is alot further from home than Romulus....make sure your stuff is in order!!!! :)

Not sure where I'm staying yet....the codriver didn't get in and he usually handles lodging. I'm up for splitting room costs.....and I am not into spooning.

HAHA! No major repairs on the engine. Just a small boost leak I can't find yet. I actually moved and live in Indianapolis now, but it's still far from home. I've been building up spares slowly and my wife (I got married in Jan) has an envoy that I hope to use to tow my car there.

Get in with the Indy subie crowd if you haven't already. They're a great bunch of guys and very supportive of one another. The local scca region is a great group of folks as well.

Jay, how do you feel about forking?

There are a lot of Philly guys that stay in the Laurel/Bowie area and it's only about a 15 minute drive or so. Even though my drive is only 55 minutes, I might stay somewhere closer on Saturday night just to make it easier. We'll see though.

Damn these events are filling up faster than usual. I'm a month slow and already on the wait list for Toledo. Here's hoping I get it. If so...much thanks to BD for letting me drive!
