I plan on taking my car to the track for the first time this spring and was wondering if i could run 100 octane every now and then even tho my tune was done on 93 octane. My mods are:

Brand new STI short block
STI cams
Wiesco Pistons
walb. 255 fuel pump
850CC injectors
TGV deletes
2008 STI oil pump
2008 STI water Pump
20g Turbo
Invida Catted Divorced DP

Open sourced, target boost is set at 18 (using factory air box, maxing out MAF on the tune)

No point unless you have a tune for it. Higher octane actually ROBS power unless you need it.
Rule of thumb: you want to run the lowest octane and hottest plug that is safe to run for most power.

Yes, get teh high octane gas. During the track, you wil build more heat and extreme conditions. The race will give you a safe margin over the stock tune. Dont do it for the extra HP, do it for the protection.

This is very sound advice and exactly what I would have said. As long as the race gas is lead free you will have no issues.
