I have MY01 RS, so my baby is still pretty unique around here!

Well, Subarus are excellent. Word is getting around. Not to mention commercial after commercial after commercial with the wrx. And people hear "turbo" and "227 hp" and here we have the next import car craze. Luckily their not cheap, So hopefully not everyone will have one. I want other companies to bring over great cars. That way there will be more to chose from and people will select other brands too. And more different brands of butt to kick!! awe who am I kidding, mine is still stock.

I don't think that the WRX will ever achieve the level of popularity that the civics and such has with the masses. It's well bolstered seats tend to prohibit the "gangsta lean", so all those kids just can't look cool driving it. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif

Huh, I'm lucky to see another scooby on the road. There are only like 4 or 5 other RS/WRX that I know of in Boulder (mainly cause they post here). I rarely see them in Denver

Funny thing...

Today I was driving down the road next to my apartment thinking if I will see any subies today.

And then I see a red RS! weird... Then I go to get some Quiznos and see a blue WRX! The first time I have seen one in the wild. You know they are becoming common when you start to see them in Jacksonville...

You think it's bad now? It's only two months after its introduction. Good luck! Even if a lot of people have it, it'll still be a great car.

Thought I read or heard somewhere that the Impreza line increased sales for Subaru of America by 30% this year. Thus, more on the road.

Voltis5,
You have my deepest simpathy,
I used to live around Chi, lots of mean ruthless police
No logging roads, fire roads, mountains, or thousands of miles of perfectly paved, twisty back roads.
I'm doing 500 miles of twisties every weekend, let me show you the way.
Forget about your cruising neighbors.

I hope noone thought that Fuji wouldn't ship as many as we wanted. I hope we do get overrun with them, that will get detroit to give us the real deal, I can see the scuby killer videos now http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

My WRX is one of three in my area. I have seen another wrx once on the road, and while a kid was looking at my car and talked about the intake silencer mod to his friend, i was like wait, you have a WRX? He was like yeah, happened to be the same color also. Very sweet!!!

It's even more rare to see a Scubie here in SACRAMENTO CALIFORNIA. It never snows here just in the mountains. I have to really drive up,up,up,up and up, the mountains to see one or maybe two RS/WRX, having fun in the snow. Off course don't forget me!

I live in Deer Park NY. Exactly, its a little rinky dink town on Long Island. My whole High School had a whopping total of 300 kids. And yet, there are 7 WRX's and 2 RS's (not including MY01RS). Damn those Commercials.

Man... I've been trying to figure out a phrase for those people. "Gangsta Lean" is perfect!

AWDBOY: You sure we live in the same area??? I see subarus EVERY day here... Hell, there are 6 RS's at Sierra College alone. Ive seen 4 WRX's total though (not counting the little get together at In+Out on saturday), not to many considering I see like 2 S2000's a day, 3 or 4 IS300's, and at least 5-10 PT cruisers every day... And 1/5 cars I see around here are brand-spankin-new w/out licence plates.

BTW, if you see a Blue Ridge Pearl 2002 RS driving around thats my cousin http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

Here in New Englamd, there's scoobies everywhere. Mostly Forresters and Outbacks, but it's tough to not see one. RS's and WRX's, on the other hand, aren't so common. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif
