View Full Version : Performance Gauge Pack....again. Ginseng 04-11-2001, 02:04 PM 42mm, 1 5/8". Unreadable while do anything other than parked and staring up close at the gauges. 8Complex 04-11-2001, 02:13 PM I believe you can make a new bezel for it to open it up enough to put 2-1/16" guages in it. DaveK 04-11-2001, 02:19 PM You have to dremel out some of the plastic so that the 2 1/16th guages will fit. (try searching for "new pics of my guage" and it should bring up some info. Joostin420 I think has the instructions. Jessie James 04-11-2001, 03:04 PM Yeah, if you dremel out about 1/4" at the top and 1/8" on each side it works. I also did about 1/4" on the bottom lip so I could center the guages. Jose O Perez 04-11-2001, 03:41 PM I did this mod with Autometer 2-1/16". I had to make a bezel for the new gauges and modify the plastic housing, but nothing that a Dremel can't do. I will try to post picks of mine next week, and if you want, I can send you a CAD drawing that I make for the bezel (machined it from an aluminum plate using a CNC). I am very happy how they look, and also very functional (oil press.,A/F meter, and Volt.) Tats 04-11-2001, 04:58 PM Cool....I'd appreciate any help in the matter. (jleote@bestweb.net) 2 1/16 seems like a size I could at least see. Also...it seems like you're set-up (A/F - Volt. - Oil Pressure). Also, any ideas on a goog carbon fibre look material so it will match my trim? I've also been looking for a way to do a DIY Suby emblem with some kind of C/F look also...no luck as of yet though. Tats. Tats 04-12-2001, 01:56 AM I did a searchand found out all I wanted to know about the Suby Perf. Ga. Pk. except one thing: What size Gauges fit in it? Standard autometer size? Which is? Thank alot and sorry for the trouble. Tats (Lurking for months, now finally opening his yap.) |
