So I've never really been concerned with this but my fuel warning light will sometimes (maybe once a month) come on with 1/4 to 1/2 tank still left, usually goes off after about 10 mins or by the next time I drive the car. This never worried me because the gauge is accurate and I don't rely on the light, I figured fuel was prolly sloshing or something...

What does have me concerned is that my oil light has come on twice for no apparent reason. The first time was about a month ago, got in early in the morning and the oil light was on as soon as I started the car, I was pressed for time and on my way to the airport but I did a quick check and the oil level was fine so I just drove with it and it went off after 5-10 minutes (and oddly it didn't really just turn off, it was more like it slowly faded off).

Then last night I had to move my car and the oil light stayed on again when I started it, I moved it around the corner and turned the car off to check the oil which again was just fine. The next day I start it up with no light.

I'm just wondering if this is a common occurence, I'm not sure if these lights are set very sensitive so slight fluctuations cause them to go off when they shouldn't be, or maybe I do have some kind of problem (specifically with the oil light) that's just barely enough to get it to go off now and then... this car seems possesed

The oil pressure sensor may have a problem.

The light is driven with a switch

I would see what it looks like and if it is leaking or encased in crud
