so i recently got a new set of MD clarity ultras to replace my old MD V1's that were broken- but my new gauges are not bright enough (for me at least)

they're awesome at night/when it's cloudly and look great...but i guess the FL sun is too intense, so i'm considering other options. they are mounted in a clock dash pod, and my car is tinted to the darkest legal around here and i don't really want to move them since i don't have the factory clock...

so does anyone know what gauges would be the brightest/easiest to read in bright sunlight?- matching the STi cluster would be nice, but not a big issue at this point

can anyone point me towards some possible options for EGT/BOOST/OIL pressure? (no i can't afford defi)

check out the defi gauges, there are some that look exactly like the STI cluster

Have you tried Prosport gauges? They're a little cheaper..also Ebay has some gauges that have orange too. I'm just not sure if I would trust those readings.

same thing as prosport, just a bit on the cheaper side

there are many people that use prosport gauges and they work great, others dont like them and have problems

anyone have any opinions on what is brighter/cleaner looking in bright sun (i live in FL)- the white/blue/or amber illumination? i'm open to using whatever color- leaning maybe towards blue or white...i guess the BF series? the ones that require the control box...

i figure that my engine is worth a small investment, considering i will soon be upgrading to a 20G/injectors/pump/tune
