Ok guys, im new to the whole subaru world. Im am a v8 guy (dont knock me lol) use to the small block chevy but lets face it all combustable engines have the same concept. This build is not for me but am helping my brother. He has a 95 impreza ej22, hes looking to build a stout little motor and there are way to many honda guys in the area so we both figured subaru would be the thing to do. Were looking to pull the EJ22 and run 13-15lbs of boost. Forged rods, Pistons, Steel crank, all balanced and probably run in the 8300 rpm range. It is a non turbo car, so i need some information from someone who has done this. As far as fuel what will be needed, injectors, ecu upgrade, fuel pump? Also is the stock crank in the 2.2's steel or cast? Its not going to be a race car by any means an everyday driver is more like it, but im sure you guys have some wealthy information that could be used. We both work as mechanics and have the knowledge as far as getting it done just need some help as far as what works for your guys and if that engine is worth it, as i see not much being done to the EJ22's. Some information would be very helpful

Thanks Guys, Solo

Solo,

You'll very quickly find that it is likely cheaper and easier in your situation to consider swapping a complete turbo motor into the car. There are plenty of motors out there, and rewiring the car is the hardest part.

Search for some swap threads and read up.
