I used this kit i bought off ebay its a 55Watt 3000k kit.

I have 8000K 55Watt hid's in the headlights and 3000K 55Watt hids in the fog

I'm just going to imagine that you actually retrofitted a HID fog projector and used a D2S capsule. I wish you good luck that your ballast won't short circuit and burn.

yeah, they might be bright as &*^^&%$%#, but thats not what fogs are meant for.

If you want that to last, find some way to get more airflow across the backside of the bulb.

Otherwise you will see what others have posted. as you can see the results aren't pretty

suggestion noted:
yeah i decided to leave the back cover off them so they can vent ive been keeping a close eye on them and no problems so far

im running hid in my fogs and havent had a problem at all for over 2 years now

dont forget that alot of the times its the installers fault in shorting the wires out

now youre going to get water intrusion into the housing. this will destroy the bulb, and possibly short out. not something you want with high voltage current
