(02' WRX) jdubya301 03-13-2009, 09:25 PM looks like single beam. m4r10 03-13-2009, 10:27 PM meaning...it will have hi beam function or will not? steverx05 03-14-2009, 01:06 AM Are you set on using the Murano projectors for a certain reason? I would stick with something like the FX35 projectors for your headlights which are bi-xenon and work well in your year of headlights. m4r10 03-14-2009, 04:32 AM well, it's just that I have a free set in my hands. But I could just as easily sell it and go with Fx 35 of TSX's. Just wanted to know if I'd have high beam function with it or not. And it's not the projectors. What I have is the electronics and bulbs. not the projectors. steverx05 03-14-2009, 12:08 PM well, it's just that I have a free set in my hands. Go with a set of bi-xenon projectors if you want to keep your high beam function...since that's what they do, give you low and high beams in one projector. The FX35's with some TSX clear lenses swapped in them look AWESOME. E46 projectors are another option too, as well as some others out there. I don't have a lot of experience with bi-xenon projectors so I don't know what's the best bang for the buck, someone else will have to chime in for that. m4r10 03-14-2009, 03:16 PM Go with a set of bi-xenon projectors if you want to keep your high beam function...since that's what they do, give you low and high beams in one projector. Isn't the high beam function determined by the guts, i.e. the wireing and circuits? You're saying it's in the projectors themselves? steverx05 03-14-2009, 06:08 PM Isn't the high beam function determined by the guts, i.e. the wireing and circuits? You're saying it's in the projectors themselves? Well it's actually a combination of the wiring and projector. A bi-xenon projector has its internal shield on an actuator, which is moved up and down when you select either your low or high beams. A single xenon projector has a fixed shield and cannot be wired for this kind of function. So, if you put say..TSX projectors in your headlights, you would only have low beams since they are strictly a low beam projector. That's why I would suggest a bi-xenon projector like the FX35 for your application. There's some great info over on Hidplanet.com if you want to research more about different projectors and how they work and stuff. |
