I think someone is doing this intentionally so my side windows on the driver and passenger side would get scratch. I think they pour some sand in between the window and the rubber seal. Then when you roll down and up the windows, you get many LONG sand scratches on the window. It's very noticeable and even worse when the sun hits it just at the right angle.
Sand can't walk right? Anyone have similar problems?

Do any of you have any info(repair order) I could have a copy of. I tried to get mine warrentye and the dealer said it was only under the 10,000 part of the warrenty. I think thats a bunch of BS. They admited that the two felt like pads on the inside were to tight and that sand or dust got in and did that but still no warenty. I only have about 100 miles before I hit the 36K mark. Please help.

I just got 1 of my windows fixed for this same cause. Under warrenty of course http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif I don't know why they did it for me, they're usually jerks to me at the dealer, but they did it.
Sorry they screwed up on my appointment, so I have no record of it. Just some invoice that say's fix window http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

My "93 has the same scratches. Any idea what causes them? Anyone? Weatherstrip on door edge? Some sort of pad on the inside wearing out? Any way to prevent this heinous scratching? It just wont stop!
ummm anyone got extra front windows lying around?

Sam, I just looked at my invoice, I'll scan it and send it to you. It show's that they fixed them at no charge, hope it helps you. I'll do it sometime tomorrow.

Atleast for the 93, there are little brushes on either side of the window to align it and hold straight so when you close the window it lines up with the seal properly. Had we had the top beam on the doors then the we wouldn't need the little brushes. But the fact is that they get dirty and the soft bristles on the pads wear out from dirt and extended use. Unfortunately the guy who owned my car before me never did anything about it, so I am stuck with these wonderful streaks on my windows.
