This is my 3rd year autocrossing. I have a little checklist that I run down before each event.

-Print out roster / emails / registration
-Bring cash
-Directions to venue and schedule out time to leave.
-Check weather
-Tech car:
-Clean out loose crap
-Check fluids, hoses, intercooler, belts, air box, etc.
-Gas
-Air in tires
-Waterproof toolchest w/
-Sunscreen
-Rain gear
-Pen and paper
-Food and drinks
-Masking Tape
-Torque wrench
-Lug wrench
-Air compressor
-Tarp & Paracord?
-Rags
-Mechanics gloves
-Tire gage
-Sharpie
-Numbers & classing magnets
-Hat
-Appropriate clothes
-Helmet
-Camera
-Tarp & paracord
-Zip ties
-essential wrenches
-leatherman
-wd40
-little first aid kit
-spare shoes and socks (especially if it might rain)
-Pop up shelter
-Chair

If changing tires there
-Tires
-Jack
-Impact wrench
-Breaker bar

Am I forgetting anything that the veterans will bring with them? Some things I had to learn the hard way (like shoes and socks). I'm thinking I should throw in a patch kit and maybe some spare wheel studs and a quart of oil.

Anything else?

I'm lazy. I bring

- Helmet
- Numbers + class magnets

Now that I'm trying to get a bit more serious (SRSLY!) about autox this year I think my list is going to grow to something like yours. Probably not bringing much to Sunday's event but after that I'll probably be swapping wheels at the event and bringing everything needed for that and a toolbox like you have with stuff in it.

Were you a boy scout? You are very, very prepared. Only thing I see missing from that list is a spare car should the one you be bringing fail.

I keep everything I would need in my toolbox in the trunk. The only actual things I do to prepare are:

Remove floormats and such
Bring painter's tape, helmet and chair
And I guess directions if I've never been there before

I have such an ingrained routine that I really couldn't tell you what I bring unless I wrote it down when I'm loading it.

Big rubbermaid bin.
Drinking water.
Sammich.
Painters tape.
1Qt motor oil.
Rags & Microfibers.
Paper towel.
Small toolset.
Tarp.
Rain Jacket.

Stuff already in car:
Torque Wrench.
Air compressor.
Detail Spray.
Pens.
Gloves.
Lots of change. :p

Strip the car, Ichuck into the bin with all this stuff, put the lid on, put my spare on top, then put my tarp over it to make it look inconspicuous. I take my sub out at home.

My first time out...lol. The site I signed up on had this stupid long list of things they'd suggest you bring...including matches.

I have way too much stuff in a big box.

As well as some tools, I do have spare studs and lug nuts, and some wire in case something falls off that a zip tie can't hold. I also bring a jack stand.

I should note that I've never used any of this, except a couple of zip ties when I broke my sideskirts.

Oh, and I bring my AAA-Plus card with free 100 mile towing :)

Eagle Scout. Can you tell?

Me to. I bring mine on a trailer in case it breaks. :)

One mistake I made was not bringing a pair of sneakers good for running in. I wore my Pilotis all day. Not the best footwear for chasing down cones.

Yea, I get ZERO support in my Speed Cats. They're like slippers and it makes standing for any period of time unbearable. I like to bring a comfy pair of shoes to change in and out of.

Mine varies by event:

If it's a local event I'm like KC: water, numbers, helmet, air tank, painters tape, and some basic tools to fix any little problem that might come up. Biggest thing to remember here is I'm never more than 15 miles away from home and I have AAA.

If I'm going to an event that's further than 100 miles away from home the list gets a bit longer: water, numbers, helmet, air tank, food, chairs, full tool kit, extra cash, tires (at local events I'll drive on the autox tires since it's a short distance), painters and duct tape, JB-Quik, oil, coolant, liquid wrench, and probably a few other things I'm forgetting. Basically it would be enough to fix anything outside of major engine parts failing.

I just loaded the car up for 3-29. It's something like this:

Car related
-Accessport
-extra lugs/wheel studs (I have never messed one up but Justin gave me his when he retired his WRX, let me know if you ever need one)
-water sprayer, sponges, and extra small water bottles just in case

Me-related
-Pilotis
-Schroth harness
-Headache medicine, contact solution, contacts, sunblock
-rain gear: waterproof jacket/shoes/pants
-sunglasses
-Helmet

Tire changing
-Two wheel locks / appropriate sockets (in case one breaks)
-breaker bar
-torque wrench
-electric impact pep boys special
-jack
-wheel chocks

Video setup (camcorder, chasecam). Data aq soon.

I think that's most of it.

I have a couple of Bins that have most of my junk in them...so usually I just pack those up and I am good to go..
I have a seperate art type folder thats has all my magnet stuff in them..

It also depends on the event....
Local...Divisional....or National tour...and how long the event is...1 day or 2 day...

I also carry a Jack, a cooler full of liquid and a small tool bag and jackstands...

No one brings jumper cables? There's been a couple of times that I've been autocrossing and someone manages to kill their battery.

I carried more when I autox'd my STi, but I tend to drive the Elise now, so the amount of stuff I can bring is limited:
-Camera / Mount
-Helmet
-Numbers
-Microfiber to wipe down doors so numbers stick
-Running shoes/driving shoes
-Water bottle or two
-Backback to hold what I am not using when I am out driving

There are too many other fools running around who also don't have cables.....they are the ones who push the car to bump it! If it isn't your car....you push!

Like Karen, "the list" is all in my head. I couldn't write it down unless I were packing.
