the legendary infamous STi seat
<IMG SRC="http://therapysubb.net/cars/pix/impreza/wrx-sti-6-07.jpg" border=0>

well, that's all for now, i have 4 days off after today for Easter so i'll try to take some other pics outdoor but we are getting a mean MOFO of a tropical storm soon so we'll see.

oh and it's not hard like the RS to throw it into 4-wheel drift, you actually have to be careful NOT to do it too often http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

Congrats on your new beauty!

When I first thought of how I would want my new WRX it was a "yellow wagon". Ooooops, no yellow wagons I was told by my dealer. Is she a rough rider? Makes me want to go to the japan site and dream http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

Have fun!

M, my car is a Japan spec WRX STi version 6, so it's a 2000 model. actually, it is one of the last 10 yellow ones made by STi http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif... it's second hand because no new ones are available anymore with the ungly dog replacing it http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/frown.gif

yep it hard as i like them http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

in my RS i had Tein 2.5" springs and AGX shocks @ 2/6 and my WRX is just as hard but not even lowered...

soon i'll have a set of Tein coilovers but frankly, just for fun because the handling is phenomenal. And It Drifts Like A Mad Dawgg http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

gys 2K covers only the boat fee..you still have to go through customs, emissions, post the bonds with the EPA and DOT..same headache.

all 2grand gets is the boat ride http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/frown.gif http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/lol.gif

uh oh http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif <--subiegal

Edit - everyone wants to import one. Forget it already. $20k for the car. Another $30k (150%) for the bond at the dock. Thats just to get it here (not including shipping and handling). Plus if you actually want to drive it, it will cost way to much to get emissions and the bumpers to spec. Just go buy an S4, you'll spend less in the long run.

Edit number 2 http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif - http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/Forum27/HTML/000434.html

That might help. Its even a 22B. Go figure http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Jamie, are you sure you could handle the sub-tropical climate here, oh yeah i forgot, it rains 5 months of the year here so it wouldn't be too different http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif

about getting a car like mine in the u.s. don't you guys remember Teague's client who built that gorgeous wagon ? all STi

the way to do it is to get the car in parts and rebuild it either in a local shell or use a VIN from a trashed local one. that's only for the u.s. because it's much easier in Canada. you guys have no idea how many STi cars are plated and LHD in Canada. for instance Lachute Subaru in Quebec has a Version 5 Type R plated for racing but as regulations require it is registed and plated. i drove that car and the owners drive it around quite often too. i know of two in Ontario too. not to mention all the guys who have the WRX drivetrain too.

Some people, I swear, here we are in the states warming up to the 227hp that we now get and you go and rub our deprived noses in your 276hp...STI.. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/tongue.gif

Any how just kidding, but would you get upset if I came down and um, put it in a crate and took it home with me.... And that poor S3 just being abandoned like that oh the humanity.... I figured you'd keep the S3 for the other half to drive around...

hehe, i call it my emergency grocery shopper http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

and Eric, it's not 276bhp, it's 282 stock and mine is, according to Possum, around 290. but if you look at ALL the dyno runs on dyno.scoobynet.co.uk (http://dyno.scoobynet.co.uk) you can see that it quite hard to predict the powaer of an STi 5 with similar mods.

as i don't like the loudness of the 5Zigen and the Airinx filter they are both going off and the car is going to Possum's for a quieter Group N exhaust, Link computer and carbon air box (Curtis, do you remember that one http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif)

that usually comes out as 30?Bhp on their dyno and for me it means a powerful and quieter package, the S3 made me like that.

hehe ok Kev nay time http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

when i satrted modifing my RS last year, i started saying i should have bought a white Brighton and STi the hell out of it http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif i've always wanted a wagon.

oh and about power figures again i found this: http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm#2.1.1 and if you look at the bottom of that table, you will find: GF8G5ED WRX STi5 5 door 300bhp ??????

i'm confused now. but i do have a little more than 280 which is sweet as hell.
