This is not big news, I guess, but I wanted to post about a positive experience with this vendor.

My 8610 front inserts started leaking. I called Koni and they explained their "replace in advance" program would let me get new struts asap.

After that, I completely forgot to send in the old units for evaluation. A year later I finally sent them in and just received an acceptance from Koni that it is a covered issue.

When comparing performance/motorsports oriented shocks, it would be worthwhile seeing if other vendors had comparable coverage. I am really impressed with the way Koni treated me.

+1 Lee and the guys over there are awesome, and the customer service is a big part of why I always look at Koni first.

I've sent in a lot of Koni's under warranty over the years for many cars, apart from one experience they've done a good job of honoring the warranty. They do make you go through some hoops regarding the original receipt which is pretty silly. The fact that I've had to send so many back has made me hesitant to buy them for my next car.
