From the looks of it on Blitzs NA site the Power I-D is mostly like a G-tec, what does it use to judge the cars time and distance? Also I am not sure but I read that one of the two (SBC or Power) was able to display some other engine perameters such as A/F, Injector Duty etc. Is this true and if so which unit does? For some reason I am thinking that it is the SBC when the extra harness is used but I am not sure and there is not info in it at blitz-na.com.

It uses the speed sensor to measure the speed of the vehicle. Frankly I don't know how it measures distance. I'd imagine some combination of speed and some other variable. The 0-60 times on the power-iD are as accurate as they can be without radar because it uses the speed sensor of the vehicle, and weight does NOT matter. The only time the weight calculation on the powermeter ID matters is for HP ratings.

Also it does have an optional harness that allows you to watch some other parameters if you decide you want to. I personally will probably get rid of my SBC-iD/power meter-ID and just end up with a unichip and boost module.... They look VERY cool - but at this point I want to start simplifying the cabin of my car rather than complicating it :P...

Thanks for the info. When ordering parts to upgrade my TXS stage 2 to stage 4/5 the other day I was trying to decide between an SBC-id and TXS's HPDSBC. I ended up geting the HPDSBC as it gave me the ability to have 2 settings and change them in the car for half the price of the SBC-id. I am still looking in the Power-ID to replace my G-Tec as it is a pain to use. There is really not a drag strip close to here and I would like something to help me judge how well the mods that I am doing are performing aside form my butt dyno.

Is the optional harness for the SBC or for the Power ID.

Thanks

The optional harness is for the SBC-iD but the power meter iD can display them all, they are designed to work together really.
