RidinLow 05-21-2001, 10:18 PM Depends on what you want... the VR4 is a great high speed cruiser, but it's huge on the outside, tiny on the inside, and weighs 2 tons.
DannyGT 05-21-2001, 10:29 PM i have a 94 vr-4 highly modded...and stock i ran a 13.7 with rippin it on launch...and with custom 3" exhaust and intake i ran 13.2 and a 13.3.....but i am giving it up for a blue wrx, cus i love rally cars...and it has a good outlook...and with some mods, im sure i'll get there easily too
Kostamojen 05-22-2001, 03:00 AM Rex sedan with Spoiler, BBS rims, and everything else for $28k?!?! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/tongue.gif
the vr4 is hella cool looking and faster stock for stock (hey its gotta be since it was VERY expensive) but like people have mentioned its VERY heavy, and tiny inside...
it also has a lot of gadgets that i would definately stay away from, specially in a mitsubishi (no offense mitsu ppl)
RacerinLSL 05-22-2001, 08:31 AM Did you drive the VR-4? It's the most akward driving position I've ever seen. My head was at the roof where the windshield meets the roof, and you can't see jack shiet!! It's fast, but no fun to drive everyday at all.

Samirr76 05-22-2001, 08:40 AM RidinLow you also described the Legacy Turbo http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/tongue.gif
Heres a pic of both! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

Ryouga 05-22-2001, 09:05 AM There are '99 VR-4s running around? I thought Mitsu only imported these from around '90-'92?
Samirr76 05-22-2001, 09:30 AM I think the 99 VR-4 they are referring to is the 300GT VR-4 not the Galant VR-4. The Galant VR-4 was only made a couple years in the early 90's. I think 1993 may have been the last year.
edkwon 05-22-2001, 10:19 PM I didn't drive a VR-4 but i did used to own a Stealth R/T and i drove a friends 3000GT SL, it had to be the most uncomfortable ride i've been in for a while. The driving position was so awkward, my head was touching the ceiling and i had to lean back too far to get a decent forward driving view.

Boosted WRX 05-22-2001, 10:27 PM Yeah, the 3000gt's are very small in the interior, basically a two seater. The vr4 is a fast car but is extremely heavy and very very expensive to repair. Also they are not the most reliable car around. A kid around here has one and it is fast but he has alot of repair problems. Also the transmission in that car is very fragile. I would go for the WRX!!! Good luck

Samir, mitsubishi stil continue to make VR-4s. You just won't see them in the States. Very much in the same league as a Legacy B4 RSK.. turboed, 4WD, similar acceleration, similar price and come in wagon or sedan.. I think the latest model looks pretty cool..
It's kinda funny, mitsu and subaru seem to like being sparring partners.. subaru has the STi and B4 and Mitsi has the Evo and VR4..
