Hi, this is my first post and I'm looking forward to getting my first scoobie. Anyway today I went to the dealer looking for a white 2002 RS auto. The only RS that the dealer had was a silver one. The car looked new, except for grass stains in the wheel well. But I noticed a sticker on the winshield stating that it had perviously been sold and was returned to the dealer because the buyer had bad credit. So after I test drove it the dealer offered it for about 22k with fog lights, sec. sys., and spoiler. Well I got him to go down to about 19k, with 6.9 apr for 60mons. Is this a good deal for what is a technically a used car in perfect condition with 120 miles?

Thanks.

If you follow this link you will see that the car brand new at MSRP(suggested retail price) is $20,320 and the invoice(what dealer pays) is $18,694. The $19k you were quoted isn't a bad price but if it's got grass stains on it that means the person must have got on it quite a bit and that is not good for a brand new car with only 120 miles on it. You are supposed to wait at least til about 500miles and up before you really get on a new car. I would mention that to them and also the fog lights and wing are standard on the 2.5RS. I would see what else they can throw in with the deal since it is used. I paid $20,500 for my 2000 2.5rs brand new fully loaded. It was a coupe though and they don't make those anymore as far as I know. Good luck and make sure the warranty is good.

2002 RS's do not get fogs and a wing standard. They get fog light covers though.

19k with fogs, security and spoiler? Good deal.

Double check at www.carpoint.com (http://www.carpoint.com) with the actual invoice/msrp with the options.
