ouch. well, if you can salvage your heads, it won't be so bad if you can rebuild your current one. heads are VERY expensive. :(

Midas in Palmer has a f-ed shortblock with crank for like $300. It threw a rod bearing.

ya, if you can get a block you can rebuild outside the car, even better.

well if my warranty doesnt honor my contract then its a build. thanks for the heads up on the shortblock in palmer marshaLL. if i had to buy or source another block id like it to be drop in.

It might be a 2.0 block at midas if its the one out of the white WRX...not sure.

I may have an extra one soon. I will let you know in the next few weeks if you didn't find one.

No idea I have two of them that need to be looked at, both would need to be rebuilt. My guess is you would need pistons and bearings at a min.

i've got some brand spankin new 0 mile sti pistons if you need them give me a shout i have no use for them. they're paper weights

I picked up that short block from the Palmer Midas. Haven't seen it yet but the block is supposed to be in good shape. I plan on boring it out and replacing all the internals anyway.

I have some 0 miles pistons as well, unused STI head gaskets and lots of other misc parts.
