I have searched a few times and on the other boards and havent found any definitive answers. I just did a substantial build and at the final phase of tune and have run into some issues.

After playing with the Utec i can get the car to idle but it is rough as hell. Alot of backfiring and engine misfire.

My question is with the BC 272 cams are you guys just bolting them in and running it or doing the full cam gears and going that route? Obviously the most performance will be to degree the cams but are you have low end troubles with the stock cam gears like myself?

you will need to do some tuning on the stock ecu with opensource to get it to idle and run well below the 25% switchover point from the stock ecu to the utec. The utec only controls fueling and such once you go above 25% throttle.I hope this helps.

Tune the car's closed loop AFR at 13.7:1.

I had this problem. If you ave a throttle cable. I would adjust the screw little bit to crack open the throttle plate a little bit. It has help my idle out a lot.
