Just got done giving my car a nice washing and took it out for a ride. Get over to my gf's house and notice what looks like 18" piece of silly string on my car. Looked at it a little closer and it was a piece of gum. I tried to take off as much as possible but it was really thin and very very sticky. tried my best to get it all off but couldn't get it all. What can I use to get this stuff off? A bug/tar remover? Something else? TIA for any help

I've had good luck removing adhesive with 3M Adhesive Remover. I would think it would also breakdown gum as well.

that's for fabrics. This is on my fender. Annoying as hell to try and get off.

I think I have some goo gone laying around somewhere. I'll see if that works.

If not I'll get the 3m stuff. The guy that took the emblems off my trunk didn't do the best job in getting the stuff off so I can still see the letters everywhere. I would assume both of these products would help with that too?

I used the 3M Adhesive Remover when I debadged my trunk and it worked well.

Yes they should. Goo Gone took off this nasty sticky residue left by my ski racks so it pretty much cuts through anything.
