I had a great experience with these guys. First, they matched the price on the front/rear strut tower bar combo that AFS Motorsports offered a few bucks cheaper. Then, I PayPal'ed them the money, and apparently there was a mix-up of my order with somebody else's, but after a phone call, it was immediately resolved, and the parts were shipped to me via 3-day Express. I got them, and I'm perfectly happy!

Revolutions Motorsports has great items at awesome prices, and they're starting to get their manufacturers to produce pretty high quality replicas, such as the STi pedal set, which I got, and it fits my car perfectly and looks awesome to boot. :)

I'd have a very, very long and very bad review of Revolutions, but I'll keep it in as I'm still waiting for them to respond to my e-mails and PM's. Maybe my relationship with them will recover, cause right now they're on my crap list...

Henry, if you see this, I want my refund... Check your pm's and e-mail.

In a word HORRIBLE ....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ordered a set of the STi style mesh foglight covers. They arrived fine and I had them painted at my bodyshop. After painting I went to install them and the supplied screws were too short . And what did I see ?? they were at an angle that would make it impossible to mount to any foglight retaining screwhole.
Needless to say I was not pleased. I tried emailing R.M. and it took a week for a terse reply of "wrong screws shipped were working on it". 2 months later no update and R.M. is still suckering others to buy the kit with no warning whatsoever. Look at the foglight covers post in the vendor classifieds to see how many others complain and yet no reply by R.M.
I looked at a friends WRX and his genuine STi covers had a bracket that the covers actually screwed into. This piece is whats not included in the R.M. kit.
Do not do business with Revolutions Motorsports youll likely get screwed!!!!!

Gonna have to second Silver Boosted. I wrote them complaining too, the day I got them. I was told they were working on getting a new screw but as we played with it and made trips to the hardwear store it is OBVIOUS that the hole in the cover does not match up at all!!

I WANT THAT BRACKET!!!!!

Then they said, "Just snap it in, No problem." Look, that just is not going to cut it. I realize that these are not the real STi version and some quality is compromised, but come on people for $97 I expect to at LEAST get all the parts!!!! Go ahead, check out the WRX & 2.5RS fog light cover thread.

get screwed lol.

i dont really care for the bracket it is pretty much 95 percent secure without it. It already takes some tug to take them off as is without the bracket.

they should have disclosed it though.

im happy and will continue to do business with them

hey EJ20 if your WRX only came with 2 lugnuts per wheel which would make them "pretty secure" would you be happy ?????

08-27-2001, 09:59 AM
Well I will have to say that I have never done anybussiness with them but most ever replica foglight covers do not come with the bracket, only the gueine ones. You should have known since this are a replica piece that it might not fit correctly or perictly and you most likly if you go to home depot you could make your own bracket or find some way of securing it.

GDA
08-27-2001, 12:04 PM
Silverboosted-

how can you compare 2 lug nuts on a wheel with replica fog covers which are pretty damn secure as is.

to each there own.

You should find yourself a home depot solution (less than $2).

Im actually it fits as well as it does, and looks as good as it does.

Simple EJ20 .... If it doesnt bring all nessasary hardware then tell me and let me decide if I want to buy it without alll mounting hardware. Dont tell me it brings everything nessasary to mount cause in my book the bracket is a nessasary item. If it wasnt the holes would not be there for them......

Well here I am reading the threads.

for all of you who have not been 100% satisfied with your purchase please e-mail me directly or call me directly at 715-834-5758. The fog covers for the WRX with the screw was a messed up deal. I was just over sea's and I brought up the question to the manufacture and they didn't have a real answer for me. I guess the reason the ydidn't fit was that the WRTX over in Asia has a slightly diffrent front facia.

I am deeply sorry for the mix up and I will offer any of you who bought the WRX fog covers a 15% discount on any future purchases or next year when we get our 4WD attatchment and if your in the area please stop by for a few runs on the dyno on the house. Or if you have a center diff that will allow you to run on a 2 Wheel dyno please come by.

I have been in and ou of the country and have not been keeping up at all on the private messages so please bear with me as I catch up or please e-mail me direct at revolutions@ecol.net.

We are working on our Suabru catalog and getting the parts ready and I will assure you that all parts will be tested and fitted to ensure that you are 110% satisfied with your purchase.

We actually have ran into a few problems with fitment and have had to ship back full containers of parts because they are just a bit off. I do have about 100 ABS 2.5 STI front lips that need some minor trimmimg for a perfict fit that I have not sent back yet but any of you would be interested I am willing to sell them at 95.00 each.

Other than that please be patient with me as I get all of the Suabru parts ready.

I know there are many happy customers out there and some that might now be too happy, I just want to thank all of you for your support.

We are not a large company and only have one other sales person besides me and two full time mechanics.

ALL of you have helped us grow and we are now reaching a point were I think the cusomer service is not as good as it should be because we can not handle the traffic.

I have decided to add two new members to our team and they will be in action in about a month.

Until then please be patient with me if i don't reply to a post, e-mail, PM , right away or forget something.

well so far so good. havent had any real problems and things seem to be going smoothly for my order which i'm awaiting shipment for. the only real negative thing i can think of is that i had to call twice before somebody picked up but i'm assuming that has to do with lack of man power as you mentioned so its really not of any signicance. i'm eagerly waiting the completion of the transaction and praying that all will continue smoothly cause so far there hasnt been really any substancial negative feedback about revolution motorsports and i hope it stays that way :)

Revolutions Motorsports had a slight problem with my Rota Subzero order. I waited about 10 days after the originally estimated shipping date, and there was still no trace of my wheels. When I contacted them about this, Henry looked into the issue promptly (including sending me a preliminary response from home on a Sunday), found out that my shipment was lost, and had a new one sent off the next day. I'm not sure if the error happened on the side of Revolutions or the shipping company, but mistakes happen, and I was pleased with the way this was handled.

If there's anything negative, I got the impression that Revolutions might be running at their capacity limit, and Henry might have a little too much on his hands, but I don't have any doubts that he's doing everything he possibly can, and that adding some more staff will address this. I'm sure that the small mixup that I experienced was an exception, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Revolutions again.

Henry has been responsive so far with my order. I had called 5 business days after ordering my Subzero's and he was eager to tell me where thay might be. He told me that they are drop-shipped and should be at my house soon and they left LA the day after I placed the order. Well He was right, they got here Thursday :D Henry also told me that I would be getting Lug nuts and Valve stems as well, but when I brought everything to get mounted and balanced, there were no Lugs or stems:confused:
So I had to pay extra for the Valve stems.
I've read somewhere else on the board that this had happened to someone and Henry said he'd send them later , or someone forgot to put them in the box, but I thought they didn't come out of your shop?

So Henry can you please send the Valve stem (pref. Chrome ones) and Lug nuts (Pref, Chrome ones) The Lugs, 'cause the stock Lug Nuts are too small and they are sinking into the the rim and almost grinding it. The valves So I can have them put on the next set of tires I tear Up!!!

That will put this customer on your happy list, ;)
but right now I am not so happy:(

I am the 18" in NY, Silver w/Polished Lip.

WReX...I'll call you anyways.
Thanks Henry.

Henry at Revolution is doing great. I have ordered a BOV and Two sets of wheels and I have received all of my things. Henry replaced 2 center caps because they broke in shipping. Even though my order was broken up and shipped from two different places he kept me informed and made sure that I had tracking numbers to track my shipments.

Henry took about 3 days from order to delivery to get me my 18" Rota SubZero rims. I don't think *anything* I've ordered online has ever shown up so fast!

The only problem, the lugnuts I was expecting were out of stock, Henry responded to my problem immediately, and sent them when they came in at no extra shipping charge.

Even being understaffed doesn't stop Revolution Motorsports from staying on top of email and i-club messages. I have never seen a vendor so responsive, usually getting responses within 24 hours (or within a few minutes if Henry's online!) of sending an email or posting a message. Most vendors seem to take several days, to a week, to never to respond to emails.

Keep up the good work guys!

Great to hear all of you guys with great service from Henry, but it has not been so great for me. I recieved my rims Thursday, without any lug nuts or valve stems. So I waited until Tuesday. Never recieved any calls. So I called him Tuesday and he said that they were out of lug nuts and valve stems when mine were shipped out and I could use my stock lug nuts, but they are too small and they grind into the rims. Henry said he would send them out as soon as they get a new shipment of stems and nuts. But again I had to do all the leg work in calling him, he did not keep me up to date on the issue until I called him.

Overall, I think the guys at Revolutions Motorsports are doing a great job. They're one of the few shops offering good products for a fair price. Also, they were very helpful when one of my new wheels arrived scratched (by UPS -not- by Revolutions, UPS is replacing the wheel). My only complaint is that I ordered one of their wheels & tires packages which came with hub-centric rings, but they forgot to send the rings. I called Revolutions, and Henry said he'd send them out right away along with some touch-up paint from Rota. That was around three weeks ago. I've called two more times to get the status on the hub rings, and they've shipped but I still haven't received them. Fortunately, I don't really care yet because it's still too cold to mount the wheels. Also, they told me I could keep the damaged wheel which makes me much more patient. I would definitely feel comfortable recommending Revolutions Motorsports to anyone.

I called Henry at Revolutions Motorsports and asked him why all their vendor posts were gone. He said there were too many pages of info to manage, so he deleted them all and is going to start fresh next week. In the meantime, other than they're really busy, nothing is wrong. He apologized for the confusion and said he hadn't had time to post an explanation. I told him I'd post an update for him...

Thanks Tim,

Don't worry we are still here! Like tim said the treads were getting to be a bg mess and I was getting orders mixed up and I couldn't keep on top of all the threads so I had them all deleted. I will be posting a new thread tonight and we will be updating our web site for all of the pics so we don't clog the i-club.

We love the I club and i-club members and have not had any dissagrements wit hthe i-club, but there have been many orders thats I or one of my employees have messed up and I don't want that so we need to start from scratch so we can provide all of you members good service!

The i-club has grown bigger than anyone had expected and its getting VERY expensive to them so run so if anyone can please donate something to the i-club.

Cheers,
Henry

Oh we have added a new guy that will be answering most of the e-mails and the phone orders. His name is Kyle and he is here to help you!

Red Rocket

It really seemed like it was getting out of hand for you guys. That was my first guess.

Might I suggest that you try to keep your thread(s) restricted to public discussion of the product only, i.e. fit, appearance (pictures), availability, etc. Then keep track of private orders, shipping, tracking, etc through e-mail and the phone, where it really belongs. It kind of bothers me when there are people requesting shipping quotes on the board.

When I order something, I call the vendor. If I have an issue, I call the vendor. I look to I-club for discussion and advertisement of product.

Thanks,

Kevin

That is happening to me!!!

Actually the way that they handle their orders is fine. I have gotten a set of wheels and tires and a new wheel due to a miss hap without incident. You chose to have them shipped to Puerto Rico via USPS, that is your problem.

I wanted to put in a positive review for Revolutions Motorsports. My wheelset (Subzeros with Kumhos) arrived in a timely manner, the lugnuts were all there, everything looks great.

Henry was very easy to order from. I know that some people had a little trouble contacting them a while back, so I faxed all of my contact info and order specs to them. Henry called me back moments later, we discussed what was in stock and what wasn't, I gave him my CC info, and we were good to go.

My tracking numbers were emailed to me by Kyle as soon as I asked for 'em. Thanks!

My only slight complaint is that I would have preferred to have my wheelset shipped to my work address, but they only wanted to ship to the same address as the CC. I still don't really understand this restriction, but oh well.

Overall, a great transaction. Thanks, guys!

I got 17 inch Tarmacs & Falkens from them. Good service. Great package deal. They threw in some free Subaru seat belt harnesses & turquoise valve stem covers (no I kept them ones that came with the wheels). They were off by two on the lugs & quickly sent me some more that will be here tomorrow. Sure beats getting the BBS ones for 3 grand from Subaru. Bottom line: hook up with RM if you want a good wheel deal.

This is my somewhat positive somewhat negative review of revolutions.

I ordered a set of 16inch slipstreams for my honda and they told me that the color i wanted wasn't in stock but was arriving on april 27th which was about 2 weeks from the day i ordered them. Then i called a few days later to see what my tire options were, i called back later that day and i told them i wanted to go with the khumos. So i called on the 27th to see if they had came in and i was told that they weren't even in the country yet! ok thats perfectly understandable, i wait a few days and call back and was told that they were on a truck and would be getting to them that week (by now i have almost bald tires on my car). a few days later i get a call from Jason (i think that was his name?) to confirm the tires i wanted, i guess there was some confusion since i was considering Dunlops originally. After that call i'm like great the wheels must be in or arriving soon. So later that week i call and am told that they got a shipment in that was smaller than they expected but the wheels in that shipment are all spoken for and mine are on order from Rota and won't be arriving for a few weeks. Now i'm pretty pissed off because i have no tread left on my tires, i didn't get new ones because i expected my wheels and tires to be arriving alot sooner than they did. I called back that day or the next and asked to speak to a manager, I spoke to Henry and explained my situation he was very cool about it and extremely helpful (no that everyone else i spoke to wasn't) he told me he would give me one of the sets that had just arrived and they would ship out that friday or monday. Thurday afternoon i was e-mailed a tracking number and my rims came about a week later:) Everyone i dealt with there was very very helpful i just got stuck in a bad situation. I understand that some things cannot be avoided and no one is really to blame for it. Even though it was such a lengthy ordeal getting my wheels (about 6 or 7 weeks) i would still do business with revolutions again and have since recommended them to many people.

I had only a few minor issues that I'm sure were not controlable by revolutions. First it took about a month and a half of "the shipment should be here any day" til I eventually recieved my rim and tire package. I will admit the shipping was awesome, super fast, i think it took three or four days once they were in route. Another problem I sem to see alot is the lugnuts not showing up with the wheels. It might benefit revolutions to look into another distibutor on these cause it sounds like it happens alot. There's nothing worse than having these things sitting in my basement with no lug nuts to put them on. Anyway, it sounds like alot of people are happy with the service as well so hopefully the addition of some new people is helping somewhat. What did you expect with these prices. Thanks-James

Update: I got the wheels installed to find one was causing bad vibrations, I had them all rebalanced. The guy told me that one of the wheels was out of balance. After getting it fixed I went for a ride, much better. I think alot of people were having this problem around the same time I got mine. Who knows.-James

I did get replies to my earlier questions but it took several days. They almost never answer their emails.
I ordered a set of Royal White Subs from them and had 3 paint chips missing in total. I doubt they received them from Rota like that, most likely they occurred when mounting.
However, they did give me a great price and the tires were balanced well. But they are really having a major problem answering emails. Not PM's, emails. But, so are a lot of others lately. I do have a phone, but most the places I buy from are long distance.
Plus, I sent them an email on 8/8/02 about their Replica STI Mesh Foglight Covers w/stencil and they have yet to answer it. I have already purchased it and received it from another vendor. Unbelievable.

I got my Rota Attacks quickly enuf, but missing one centre cap, and also missing the lugnuts they said they would thow in. I figured , oh well, I already have stock lug nuts, and I had no "proof" anyways they had promised anything, so I didn't pursue it. I sent them an email asking for the cenre cap, they said ok, but 6 weeks later, still no cap. Also I now see a thread that stock lugnuts can damage the rims. So far no damage that I can see, but I haven't tried taking the wheels off for a closer look. Would have been nice to have the proper lugnuts at the outset to avoid this concern.

Nothing but great things about Kyle and Jay. Ordered my Header from them and have had it shipped to Hawaii via USPS. Not many vendors on this board are willing to ship USPS. On 9/6/02 I called Revolutions Motorsports to order some wheels and tires. I believe I spoke with Rob. I ordered a set of 17 x 7.5 Rota Attack in steel gray with 225/45-17 Yokohama AVS Sport tires. This package was to include wheel center caps and a set of 20 splined lug nuts and a splined socket. Rob said that the tires would take several days to get and that the package would ship a few days after they received the tires. As I was not in any hurry, I asked for ground shipping and requested that the package not be shipped signature required as it was going to my home address and there was no one there to sign for it.

Around 9/16/02 I called RM to check on the status of the order. They told me that they were expecting the wheels in a day or two and offered to ship them 3 day when they arrived. I told them that shipping them 3 day wasn’t necessary.

I called RM again around 9/20/02. They told me the wheels still hadn’t arrived. I told them that I would be gone on business from the 9/24/02 to 9/30/02 and therefore to not ship them 3 day as it would be a waste of money. I told them that the only time constraint was that I received the wheels by 10/9/02 in time for a track event I was taking the car to on 10/12 and 10/13.

On 10/4/02 I called RM again to check on the status of the wheels. Rob said that they had still not arrived. I asked him what the country of origin was, for the wheels. He told me Taiwan. I asked him what coast was the shipment coming in on, East or West, he told me West. With the dock strike in place, I knew at this point that it would be weeks before the wheels arrived. I pointed this out to Rob and he sort of agreed. He asked me what I wanted to do. I told him I would call him back in a little while. I started looking around at different resources that might have a comparable wheel. In the Vendor for sale forum on I-club I found at post from Rob at Revolutions Motorsports dated 10/4/02. It had a list of wheels and tires that they were selling. In this list was one set of the Rota wheels I had ordered, but with Kuhmo tires on them. I called Rob back and asked him about these wheels. He got back on the phone after a minute and confirmed that yes, they had had a set of the wheels that I ordered all along. He said that they did have my Yokohama tires there and asked me what I wanted to do. I told him to ship me the wheels by 3 day. He asked me which tires I wanted on the wheels. I told him that I wanted the Yokohamas that I ordered on them unless changing the tires on the wheels would delay the shipment, and in that case to just leave the Kuhmos on them, because the most important thing was for me to get the wheels with SOME tires on them by 10/9/02. I explained that I had a set of front brakes to install on the car that required 17” wheels and that these were necessary for the track event. He told me that the package would ship on Saturday 10/5/02.

On 10/8/02 I called RM again to get a tracking number for the shipment. Rob gave me the number 1ZA534W50340285028. I went to the UPS website and tracked it. The tracking information said that it had been shipped on 10/7/02 by ground. I called Rob back and informed him of this. We spoke for several minutes. I told him that UPS would tell him that it was impossible to change the shipping speed once a package was in route, and then I told him exactly how to speed up the shipping method once the package is in route. I have done this several times before. It has worked every time. He asked for my FAX number and said the he would send me a FAX the next morning regarding this. I never received any FAX.

On 10/9/02 I called RM again and spoke with Rob. He told me he would call someone at UPS again, asked for my phone number and promised me he would call back in 10 minutes. I gave my phone number to him. I have never heard back from him.

The package did not arrive before the track event. I drove 250 miles to the event, and drove 3 of 8 sessions. The stock brakes lasted 2 or 3 laps before completely fading and the stock tires just chunked. It was a complete waste of time.

I arrived home after work on 10/14/02 to find a UPS delivery notice on my door. According to the notice the shipment was sent “signature required” despite the fact that I had specifically requested that it not be sent this way. I left a note for UPS to hold the package, the next day at their distribution center.

On 10/16/02 I picked up the shipment from UPS. To my amazement, the wheels have the Kuhmo tires on them, which I did not order. The invoice lists the splined lug nuts and socket, but none were included in the shipment. The shipment was not split up. UPS says there were four packages and that is what I received. I was also told that shipping would be free, even if it was sent 3 day, which it was not. On the invoice I was charged $96.

Edit: Concord- MA?

I got a set of Rota with S03s and everything arrived perfectly a few days after I ordered (free shipping too). They did send me a single 1.5 mm bolt along with 19 1.25 so I ended up stripping a stud. Other than that, I was satisfied with their service (quick, everything arrived as promised (except thst single bolt) and I got a GREAT price). I have heard a few other horror stories lately and I know that they changed owners recently. Perhaps the ownership change screwed things up?

I spoke with the owner, Jay today. RMS is now sending me the missing lug nuts and tool. I am sending back the unused tires that I didn't order for a refund to them.

Actually it's Concord California. And to confuse matters further I live on Saratoga Ave., another east coast name.

I just wanted to thank the guys from revoltionsmotorsports.com for giving great customer service and making an extra effort to make sure my rims came in on 10-18 for a retreat I m going to tonight. My tires were bauld on my stock my98 rims, 1 of the rims I actually bent cause I hit a curb =P about a year ago. So I figured why not get new rims since I have to get tires anywaz its cheaper as a packaged deal. The rims (17" rota attacks gold) came in yesturday and I put them on. I am one happy customer  I wouldnt mind doing buisness with them again.

Revolution Motorsports changed ownership this summer, so if you've had good experience with them before the change, the point is moot.

i had difficult communication with the new owner but my stuff arrived on time. quality was ok.

first thing, if you are totally fed up and have patience to go through with this, call up the Better Business Buearu or go to www.bbb.com

report this incident to BBB and file a complaint. consumers need protection from fraudulent stores like this one.

tell BBB exactly what happened as you did here and have their investigators look into this store.

you shouldn't have to suffer like this just to buy a set of wheel combo.

ive bought wheel/tire packages from the TireRack 3 times...ive also purchased wheels only, lugs only on several occasions. never did they make a mistake or be late on my order.

Does anyone know if Revolutions Motorsports is out of business or something? I ordered a grille from them about 5 weeks ago- they sent the wrong one and told me they'd send the correct one about 2 weeks ago- still no grille, and they don't answer my e-mails. Just wondering if anyone knows if they have a dead server or something because I plan to call my credit card company tomorrow if I don't hear from them, as well as the Better Business Beareau.

Yeah, I am also having problems as well as some others it appears. I ordered Aqua tail light covers on 11/1 and havent gotten them yet. They were reportedly shipped like 2 1/2 weeks ago. I cant get Revolutions to even respond to me. For starters, I vote they lose their status on I-Club as a vendor. I will also be calling American Express very soon to dispute the charge.

I got a weird PM from them asking if I had seen a credit on my credit card? In one of my posts in the vendors forum I said if they didnt ship my taillight covers as of yet, to just refund my money. I guess they didnt ship them yet. I paid with Paypal though, so I'm not sure how they could be refunding my credit card. I dont think they have the #... I smell something fishy too. Frankly, I dont believe a word they say anymore. I think they're constantly covering their arse and blowing smoke up their customers'. If I dont get some sort of resolution to this by early next week, I'm sending Amex after them...

I ordered a set of rims from them, and they overcharged me, and I called the shop every Friday for 6 weeks to get a refund and they said that they were doing it while I was talking to them, but I never recieved the refund. I just went to the CC company and they game me my money back. I say go for it. I lost all respect for them once I saw the shop. It is a bunch of 18-20 year old kids running the place, so that might have a couple of things to do with it.

In Response to the above complaints I would like add this:

We would like to apologize for the recent mix ups concerning your orders. I think that I may have found at least part of the reason for this. About a month after the new owner (Jay) took over in July, our network was hit with what is called the TROJAN virus. What ended up happening is everytime we went to open up the days emails they were deleted. Soon after this discovery was made I ran an anti-virus program to clean out the network, but that was not unitl many emails, orders and customer questions had been lost. Lately that same problem has been happening again, and has had a much greater effect than before. I have again gone through the network to hopefully rid us of this virus.
Now I would like to say that I do understand why you feel this way and frankly cannot argue at all.
Now that this has been brought to our attention very clearly I will be online most of tonight to answer all of your questions and concerns.
Jay and myself are 18 years old and yes we have made mistakes. Some worse than others, but we are learning and as we progress will be able to provide a better service to you.
Hopefully as we are able to communicate online tonight I will be able to figure and straighten out your orders. To give you some background we are not operating out of some apartment we have a shop with 2,000 sq feet of space and three phone lines to take care of and as I said before we are learning and wouldn't be here right now if we didn't want to try and make things right again. I dont know how much my guarantee is worth to you right now. But Jay and I both promise to work harder now than before to both catch up and maintain our status here. I look forward to conversing with all of you at some point this evening or tomorrow morning.

Wow, thanks a lot, guys! It's good to hear these type of comments, for it warns others of the potential danger of ordering from certain companies. Granted, Revolutions may indeed have a problem with their system, and if that's the case, I sure won't be ordering from them until they get their act together. They seem to be very good guys but...

I am still waiting on my eye lids i orderd 2 months ago and was charged for. I was one of the first to order and never received it.

I am also waiting on my 4-1 header which was ordered over a week and a half ago with a tracking number that has been invalid for quite sometime. Still no package nor response on it.

I am a manager for an on-line store and i know the ends but sometimes the response time and actions taken is bit a sloppy.

By the way, I grilled Rob (?) on the ohone for a few minutes about who runs the place- the owner is some 18 year old kid who's been running it for the last few months- which makes sense as I purchased from them in July and had better results than now.

It's funny that they try to act like the victim... but I already know they are not afraid to lie. They have told me my grill has made it into the mail UPS 3-day and then when I call back a week later to figure out what's going on and to get a tracking number, the number at ups.com says "Billing Information Received" which means, it has NOT gone into the mail. I've been waiting for a month for my item. I have emailed at least 6 times and called twice. Today was the last day I was eligible for filing a complaint with paypal and I did so.

I find it completely irresponsible that Revolutions has these problems and does not let the customers know about them until complaints are made. I know that if I did not say anything I would never see a grill OR my money... and I'm still doubtful!

On a side note... from my experience on the internet I know that a Trojan is a program that, when run, gives another user access to the computer and to many functions of that computer. I do not believe that it is something that automatically deletes emails. Do a search on the web for yourself to see . . .

Sorry to say but I think Revolutions is giving us a bunch of BS and I won't say otherwise until I see the grill I ordered at my door, or at least an attempt by them to contact me to prove that they are concerned with working this out. This is rediculous!

fyi about trojan horse viruses from symantec.com

"Trojan Horses are impostors--files that claim to be something desirable but, in fact, are malicious. A very important distinction between Trojan horse programs and true viruses is that they do not replicate themselves. Trojans contain malicious code that when triggered cause loss, or even theft, of data."

I am actually going to take it to the next level, and take legal action against them. I am fortunate enough to have not one but 2 Lawyers for close friends. I got a bogus tracking number twice from them, and this is actually class action material.
Jay and Rob, if you are reading this, you need to take it very seriously, as what you are doing is considered theft, and with the amounts FAR exceeding 500 dollars, is a felony. Not to mention the fact that internet fraud is looked at the same as mail fraud, which is a federal offense. Do you REALLY want to go to jail over a few grills?
I am hoping htis is all for nothing, and I will get refunded in a timely manner. But trust me, if I dont, I am not going to even hessitate to press charges with the WI state police.

ALSO just so you know I am not bluffing, you may want to do a little reading up on Massachusettes consumer protection acts

the above link has a sample demand letter you can print out and send them for your money, if they are not responding to you any other way.

I'm not sure how the Paypal deal would work since they are a middle man but I'd call your CC company and Paypal and ask. Complaints take a while: you get mailed a form that you fill out as to why you are disputing, they get it review it and take a couple weeks to get back to you whether or not you get the refund. It's not a for sure. Til' then keep calling Revolutions and bitching. Odd that they reply to their "for sale" posts and not this one.

My tracking number works... well.. it says "Billing Information Received" and it says it's directed towards me, but it also reminds me that this message does NOT mean the package has shipped. Stop payment if you can... I doubt you get anything out of Revolutions... sure some people have gotten their products, but do you want to take the risk to not be the one (the majority)?

Both of the on-line companies I manage use UPS as well and the first 12 numbers should always be the same. The last 6 numbers should always be different.

Ya, that means that they printed a label for the package, but that also means that the package hasn't made it to UPS.

I'm not sure how I can get a refund of my money. I paid them via PayPal, and the 30 days has past. It is actually creeping up on 2 months since I ordered my parts, and I have yet to recieve them. I sent them a bill via PayPal for a refund of my parts. Has anyone else done this, or has anyone else gotten a refund of their money?

To let everyone know, I got my response from paypal. They have decided to reverse the transaction completely :D Here is the email I received from them:

Our investigation has determined that the seller is at fault, and as a result we have attempted to recover your funds. $125.00 has been credited to your account. This is the maximum amount we were able to recover. Please allow up to 5 days for this adjustment to be reflected in your account.

Note: Even paypal finds Revolutions to be at fault!

Good luck to everyone in getting your money back

First off, I want to appologize to everyone that has had problems with Revolutions Motorsports. I know several of you have had bad experiences with us, but that will change. (Granted, some of you woun't give Rev's another chance)

As of Tuesday night Rob is no longer working at Revolutions Motorsports. We both agreed that this is probably the best solution for what has been happening with several of your orders. I want each of you have previously placed an order with us, have currently placed an order, or are thinking down the road of doing buisness with us that this will never happen again. I'm not putting all of the blame on Rob, but rather I think that this is one step twords fixing the problems that we have been having with some orders. This week I have been correcting each customers orders 1 at a time. Please hang in bare with me, I hope to have all of the mistakes corrected by then end of the week. So far this week I have been working 13 to 15 hour days. I just want everyone to know that I do care, and that I am trying my hardest to help straighten the problems that some customers are having. Henry is helping out. But for the most part, I mount, balance, package and ship all orders my self. Along with the emails, tracking info, credit card problems, taking & processing orders, awnsering questions on the phone, placing orders, and taking care of my local customers.

If anyone still has yet to have their problem solved. PLEASE call me asap, and I WILL make things right.

Also, if anyone who has had problems with their orders in the past is interested in any product, please feel free to call me and I will get you the best price that I can to make up for the past mishaps. Thanks everyone.

Jay, thank you for the post. I spoke with Henry about 6 hours ago and he said my Paypal payment was reversed while I was on the phone. I still have not gotten an email confirmation, nor does my paypal account show a credit. I'm not sure how fast that stuff goes thru though, but I had assumed it was fairly real-time. My paypal address is erikhome@hotmail.com and I paid you guys $35 fr some unpainted Aqua covers back on 10/31. I had given Rob a chance to ship the covers twice and obviously that never happened. The last time I talked to him I just requested to get a refund. I guess maybe I'll just buy the covers elsewhere (not even sure if I want them, I just went for it because your price was dirt cheap). I'm working on an STi carbon fiber wing at the moment, so I've got a much larger purchase to arrange... ;)

I have ordered from you guys before (ZeroSports grille) and didnt have any major problems. I was giving the benefit of the doubt on this order for about the first 3 weeks, then gave up slowly after that as I saw many others beginning to complain. I will gladly call American Express and have them stop their investigation when I receive a credit to my paypal account...

Honestly, I'll be reluctant to order from you guys again as a result of this experience. Hopefully everyone with issues here will post in this thread when they get a resolution. It would be nice to see for sure and would likely change my mind as well as some others'... thanks again

Here's my bad experience:

I ordered a pair of clear side markers including the (I know, ricey) blue bulbs. They looked really sweet on my silver wagon and the price was the best available.

Then about a month later I noticed my left marker was completely missing. ACK! I checked the other one and it was visibly loose. The bulb was so hot, it had melted the lens housing.

I immediately removed the lens, reinstalled my originals and tried calling. Hmmm, no answer. I sent an e-mail. I guess a virus ate it.

#1 - Don't order the blue bulbs.

#2 - Jay, either a replacement or credit will make me happy.

Hmm.

I ordered a wheel package months ago, and have been waiting for a resolution (or even a response) to the fact that they (you) sent the wrong tire size (these rub) and they needed to be immediately re-balanced. Mix ups happen, so I am not really mad about the wrong size. But it is not something I should have to deal with either. The re-balancing I find to be unnacceptable.

I have e-mailed (ok, so I buy they were deleted), but more importantly I have sent 2 PMs, which I doubt the trojans ate. Mix ups happen and life goes on, but poor customer service end a business.

What are the chances of a resolution?

It sucks that many of you have been having some problems with Revolutions, but I believe Jay is working to get it all taken care of. I ordered some bronze SDRs with a tire package and received them on time in good shape for a good price. With that said, I just noticed a flaw in one of the spokes that needs touch-up paint...I called Jay and he is going to send me touch up paint free of charge. In addition, he remembered who I was and offered help without any complaints on my end.

I hope everything gets worked out for you guys. I am a happy customer.

Hi.
I am a recently satisfied customer of Jay's at Revolutions.

I was also a victim of poor service from Revolutions Motorsports.

They remedied the situation, and made me feel confident in their abilities. The poor service seemed to stem from some irresponsible folks that were employed there a short time ago ( I know this has cost Revolutions some money to fix)

Give these guys a chance, they will do their best!

well thats just great, i brought their 22b rear wing with c/f center section and the twin beam head lamps in april of this year i should have sent the wing back but i thought i could fix it easier than shipping it back and getting another sh-- piece back. when the up rights were made they weren't straight to meet the c/f center so when they screwed it together it left a 1/4" gap at the sides and started to pull the screws out of the c/f piece.so after about 12 hours of refibre glassing and c/f repair the wing went on .
the next thing was 2 weeks after i installed the lights one of the low beams lens got broken by a stone or something,so i call no idea of any replacement lens. so after about 7 months of calls they said they would send me a used 1/2 set so i could replace it buy ups ground. that was the week of halloween.
so yes they do have good prices but i don't thing much about their quality or their custumer service so i will not give them any of my bussiness or recumend them to any one!

EDIT: I want you guys to see my previous post ^^^ ..I thought they were a good company but I guess they only did something right once...I ordered an intake from them...first off the shipped it to the wrong address, then when I got it I tryed to use it as a short ram, but it didnt work...it was a CAI..but I told him specifically that I wanted a short ram...and he said it would work so I said ok, and I bought it..i recieved it and the filter was way to big for the first part of the piping there for it leaked a lot of air out...also the pipe is so long that it shoves the filter all the way our the end so the car doesn't even run...it starts up and dies out right away cuz its getting no air into the intake...So I called him up and he sent me another filter this time the filter was to small to even fit the piping...In another case my friend ordered some wheels from Jay...actually gave him a credit card # and after 3 weeks of waiting my friend called and asked what was going on, their response was that they were waiting to get 3 orders so they can get free shipping....so in other words they waited 3 weeks thinking they would get orders, but they didnt so they didnt even call him and let him know the situation...so for three weeks they gave him the run around and even after that he didnt end up getting his wheels, at the end of that 3 week period they said its gonna be another 2 weeks...that is a bunch of BS...

Don't order from revolutions...I have given them way to many chances and they have not done anything right...

The bad news:
I bought a set of rims/tires, 3 of which had wrong sized tires mounted. They paid return shipping, and sent me back the same wrong size tires. They again paid return shipping, and after many phone calls and daily check-ups they got it right.

The good news:
They did offer me some great deals on other stuff, but I was very nervous to purchase anything else from them. I also received a personal, hand written apology from Jay and Rob. I have no doubt once you get their attention, they will try and do the right thing.

The verdict:
I believe they've said they have corrected a few "staffing" issues, but I'm still a bit bummed it took every bit of 2 months to get the rims/tires resolved. Unfortunately, I now look elsewhere for my online WRX parts. There are just too many good vendors to have to deal with problems.

Revolutions never came through on my order. It has been well over a month since they finally replied that they would get me my parts, and I have yet to receive anything. Good part is that they "accidentally" refunded me my order. They then claimed that the parts were on its way, and wanted me to deny the refund. I would have if I ever got my parts, but two weeks has passed and still nothing. All I gotta say is, at least I got my money back...

I ordered a set of Formels from them a little over a week ago, they told me it would go out the next day. Haven't received anything yet. I tried to call them twice during their "business hours" and no answer. I called a third time a little while later and Jay answered. I asked him for a tracking number and he told me to hold on for a minute. He then tells me that his "business computer" wont turn on so he can't get my info and asks me to call back in 30 minutes.

I find this hilarious and I'll post what happens 15 minutes from now when I'm supposed to call him back. I have a GREAT feeling I'll be calling my CC company to dispute the charges today, due to him either not answering the phone or giving me some B.S. excuse about his computer.

I cant possibly understand why anyone would order from them at this point. The funniest thing was when a few weeks after I got the items(that I had long since canceled the order on) ANOTHER box showed up containing close to 100 bucks in parts that I never ordered. Of course I kept it for my troubles with them. I felt like calling them to ship it back then just keep telling them "its on its way"
Why hasnt Nick pulled their vendor status yet? He is allowing them to continue to rip people off.

Ok, we know that in the past that there have been some serious mix ups with a lot of our orders. BUT I have recently made a trip to visit revolutions motorsports shop just to have a look around and see what I could see. What I found was very very promising! They have a decent storefront with many many products to offer, to me it seemed as though they are offering more in the store than they do online, but maybe thats just me. After talking with jay for a few minutes I was able to tell that he is making a good effort to both clean up prior mishaps and to also re-asure new customers satisfaction (since he was on the phone quite a lot). I guess what I am trying to say is when you look at the percentage of customers that revolutions deals with there are many, many happy customers out there its just that we dont hear from them as often because they are satisfied. I just think that in all fairness to revolutions history here not just the past few months but for lets say the past year, they deserve a second chance or for potential customers a first chance. After all that is the only real way that they can prove themselves right?

One Satisfied Repeat Customer

P.S. Jay- all I have to say is keep at it man you are moving in the right direction:)

I wish I would have seen this thread earlier so I could comment on it sooner.

While Revolutions Motorsports may have some organizational problems stemming from new ownership, their hearts are in the right place and they truly want to take care of the customer.

Early this summer I ordered wheels and rims from Jay and ended up having a problem with one of them. I sent the "bad" wheel and tire back to RM and they did their best to find the problem.

Even when they couldnt find the problem with the wheel they still replaced the whole set (yes all 4) of rims and tires just to make a customer happy.

Granted, I had to keep calling, and keep on them for information but as I mentioned I think that is from Jay just recently taking over and being a bit overwhelmed with all that goes on in that type of business.

Anyway, I would purchase from them again and I have recommended them to others.

Just my 2 cents

well, i've just finish making a purchase from them.....and this is my impression:

they need to maintain a better line of communication between themselves and the consumer. if there's a problem w/your order, they should let you know bout it....when are vendors going to open their eyes to this....all we want is to know is that we didn't just give u our hard earn money for nothing

i placed an order w/them on friday, early morning...whom ever i spoke with on the fone assured me that it will be shipped that day....didn't happened....when i called later in ther in afternoon, after the fedex guy supposedly had picked up the package, they gave me a tracking number....of course, they gave me a tracking number that belong to someone else...doesn't do me good....after bout 4 pm's.....and a final post on their sales thread that i would cancell my order if the matter was not resolved. they finally got around to shipping it....it should not have come to that

i'd be very weary if i ever order from them again......

a little tip for some of the vendors out there:

1. consumer place order
2. vendor, ship product, w/confirmation and tracking number
a. if there is a problem......inform consumer
b. concerning the problem...consumer and vendor reach resolution
3. consumer recieve products and all is well
4. repeat process<------this is where the real money is vendors

I have never written a vendor review but I decided I had to write one for Revolutions.

A couple months ago I bought a pair of thier Jun Replica eyelids painted and on my way back to school from winter break one actually came flying off my car.

I emailed revolutions to see if they had any singles from a break or anything and he offered to send me a whole new set!

Now that is taking care of customers and I want to give them a thumbs up!

Good Job to Revolutions they will keep my business.

Its good to see some positive feedback for these guys. They went through a pretty bad spell of making a lot of ppl very angry. But they promised to get better. Maybe this is a sign of good things to come?

I too have never written about a vendor, but I wanted to chip in my 2 cents.

I placed an order for wheels and tires Thursday night and here they are on Saturday. (Go Fedex!)

They did a good job shielding the wheel from any damage too. I would order from them again in a second.

i don't know what the heck they're doing up there, but it's b.s. when you order something and multiple weeks go by, and then jay tells you someone else supposedly ordered the stuff before you so your going to have to wait. that my friends is a load of amish horse manure on the road. i special order things for a reason, that reason is so it is for me. so as far as i'm concerned they're only good when you can go there and buy it off the shelf.

These guys ship fast! fed ex! Very good website. Awesome customer support. A persona actually answers your call.

I ordered a twin beam headlight from Intense Motorsports last March 10, and it's now March 25 and still no headlights! So I ordered from Revolutions (i just happen to stumble upon them while surfing) last March 23 I believe...saturday. Tuesday, March 25...I come home, voila! I got my headlights from Revolutions!

It may be fast cuz they're from WI and I'm in IL. They ship you a receipt, business card, and a condom!:D

AWESOME Merchant! Buy from them. (AVOID INTENSE HORRORSPORTS) I'll post my review about them in another thread.

I ordered a set of Rota SDR's from Revolutions on 2/16. Today is now 3/26 and I still do not have my complete order(I recieved 2 wheels today). About 2 weeks ago after i grew increasingly upset with not knowing what was going on with my order and the constant delays i was told Your wheels will be shipped out by the end of the week. If they don't, I have a set of Prodrive GC07C's in Gold coming. The SDR is a replica of them. They are fully Forged and weigh 15.5.lbs. They retail for about $450 each. I'm that sure that your wheels will be shipped out.
Well guess what, the wheels didn't ship that week, and when i ask revolutions when i should be expecting the Prodrives i was told i would get, all i get in response are excues about how Rota delayed their order so its not their fault. To me that seems like they flat out lied to me. Their communication is also quite slow, and they didn't inform me there was any problem with my order until i inquired what the hold up was. You can read this thread and see lots of good reviews about their quick shipping and what not, but if you happen to be one of their orders that slips through the cracks, what good are those positive reviews? I read the reviews and thought it would be worth a little less service for the good prices. This was a BIG mistake. The little money you save is not worth the hassles. Avoid Revolution Motorsports.

Jay took great care of me when i purchased my new headlights. there was a mix up and Jay called me to let me know about it. I didn't have to track him down that was amazing!!
then we worked out a solution and Jay followed through completely.
Past experience had me totaly sceptical after he called (yeah i've bought from vivid, so i know how bad it can get). but to my surprise Jay and the Revolutions staff did an amazing job and I am one happy customer and can only recomend that you give them a shot at impressing you too.

I ordered some cf blinker covers from them and they were apparently lost in shipment eventhough the tracking number shows that they were delivered to my door. I contacted revolutions about what I should do and like most vendors, especially since it was cheap, they said they would send a replacement set out the next day. I waited awhile and nothing came. I emailed them again and once again they said tomorrow. Another week passed and no cf blinker covers. I sent many more emails and no replies to any for over a week. I sent another last night and they finally reply saying that they are out of cf blinker covers and I need to contact fedex. well, maybe if they told me this earlier I wouldn't be so pissed, but now it has been too long for me to make a claim with fedex. At least I learned my lesson about dealing with these basttards with a cheap part. These guys truly suck balls, take my advice and go with the good vendors: modified toys, oakos, subydude are all great.

I also ordered wheels and tires from them and they arrived mounted and balanced in a timely fashion, BUT I also ordered wheel locks at the same time, they were not in the package with the wheels and tires. I called and emailed many times and to this date 1 year later, I have not received the wheel locks that I payed for. Two big thumbs down for Revolution!!!

ahh, I just ordered the last transaction with RevMoto. They sent me the wrong color, I shipped it back to them via UPS Ground and didnt ask for a reimbursement at all. Took them another week to response and claimed they are having problems with the paint shop. Three weeks total for my wait, grill wasn't packed with 'packing peanuts,' and guess what do I find? Of course there was a scratch  Everybody knows FedEx, UPS, and any carriers doesnt care about the package, why not pack it nice??? I'm tired of sending and complaining so I just used a touch-up paint instead. It may take them another 2 weeks before I get it.

To conclude, that was my last transaction with them. And it appears that RavSpec will have my first and last transaction as well.

I have to chime in here. Back in Jan I ordered a set of Rota wheels from Revolutions. I was a bit uneasy when I placed my order, I spoke with a person named Jay who seemed VERY unorganized and VERY unknowledgable, but I went ahead and ordered anyways. I'm not going to get into details but it took a LONG time for me to get the wheels, a LONG time.

But I finally got them, and one wheel was damaged. So I had UPS pick the wheel back up and it was sent back. So I wait, and I wait, and I wait and finally get sick of waiting and I call Jay. He tells me he will call Rota and get back to me the same day. He never calls. I call him the next day and ask him whats going on, he says "Whats your name again?.....oh yeah, what kind of rim was it? Just a rim right, no tire?"

***? Did he not have this info when I called him yesterday? So then he says "Oh, you know my computer is down right now, can I call you back? It should be up in 30 min and I'll get back to you" Never called me back.

So I call again the next day...and I let it be known I wasn't gonna be jacked around. So he says he's gonna call and then he does call me back and claims he informed Rota and he'd get back to me the next day and let me know when my new wheel was going out. Never called.

I call him and he tells me "Here's the number to Rota...talk to SoandSo and ask them". Basically he just left it all up to me. *I* had to deal with Rota about getting my wheel replaced. The folks at Rota asked me how I got their number and why I was calling them instead of the dealer I bought it from. I explained to them Revolutions sucks and they said what the hell and dealt with me straight through them.

Let me say this sucked...I got my wheel finally on June 1st. Took me 4 months to get this replaced, and I owe nothing to Revolutions to helping me get it done.

Revolutions is possibly the worst business I have ever dealt with in my life. They have absolutely no idea of how to run a business. I will never even consider ordering from them again. It's run by kids, literally. I'm just glad the headache is finally over.
