1995 G5 / Open Class Subaru Impreza
The car comes with a current valid log book. This car is currently a Front Wheel Drive G5 Impreza but can be easily converted to All Wheel Drive (Open Class) if preferred by the buyer.
The roll cage far exceeds what is required by the current rules used in North American stage rally.
The high safety standards continue inside of the car utilizing 4 Safety Solutions Heavy Duty Rally Driver Nets. These nets are made from Kevlar webbing and they literally wrap the 2 OMP HTE FIA Homologated head wing seats creating a full containment of the upper body in a heavy side impact while at the same time reinforcing the flimsy fiberglass OMP HTE Seats.
Additional Dow Impaxx padding was added to the nets for improved intrusion protection around the occupant head area.
Blue FIA Homologated Roll Cage Padding covers the high risk head impact protection areas. The door bars feature the Dual Density Roll Cage Padding System with SFI 45.1 Label, great for not bumping your elbows on the door bars.
Continuing with the interior safety are the harnesses. These units are SFI Homologated 5 point units made by Gforce and are legal until 2010. Special attention has been paid to the harness webbing routing to ensure optimal geometry for safety. Shoulder belts are mounted to harness bar just behind the seats that keeps the shoulder webbing as short as possible. Special mounting points were added to the roll cage for the lap belts for the same reason. The shorter webbing is, the safer the occupants are.
There are two Amerex 2.5 lb Dry Chemical Fire Extinguishers with current inspection tags. These two units are bolted to the car using four bolts, nuts and lock washers.
The driver’s seat gives the driver a tidy place to work. Sparco Steering Wheel and Foot Pedals along with a custom hydraulic e-brake and proportioning valve create a rally cocoon of pleasure. A custom aluminum dash replaced the stock dash. The co-Driver area has a Hella Map Light.
