Ok, I made a thread on Thomas Subaru located out in LI, NY asking if anyone went there...here's my situation...I traded my 2009 civic for 2009 wrx last saturday...
The sales guy just called me up this morning and told me that "I" forgot to sign a "Subaru contract". I think its bs cause my gf and I signed the same papers one by one that was given by him. He said he mailed it out to me and I have to return it. I'm starting to worry since I trade in my Civic that is not paid off......
oh btw, he said he's new and been there for half a year when I was sitting there talking to him. I think hes bsing me now...how can you release a brand new car to someone and not having papers signed..even if he is new...his upper management have to go through the papers to approve...
sounds shady!!
Dial 911 and report the car as stolen :p
jk - Why not just go back to the dealer in person and see exactly what it is they want you to sign? I imagine you must have some paperwork regarding your trade in?

I recieved the contract yesterday night from UPS. It was basically a revised Retail Installment Contract. They added $57.00 for regisration that was already charged that day when we signed. I guess he forgot to put it in. All the numbers are the same. 0% apr, $0 finance charge, amount of financed, total of payments. Payment schedule is the same. The form that I signed supposely the "old verison" where it says Chase. The new one is Subaru Motors Finance, but Subaru Motors Finance is part with Chase.
With the paperwork in regarding of the trade in, the Civic trade in value is on the Bill of Sale and the Purchase Order form. So I guess its good enough?? I did asked for a written consent stating that they are paying off the loan within 10 days, but they said the Bill of Sale and Purchase Order form is good enough. Since its a big dealer, I hope they're not going to G' me up with the trade in. Have anyone ever been in similar situation?
idk, it sounds like an honest mistake. As long as all the numbers match.
I actually work for chase and we issue the Subaru Credit Cards... when you actually get a "Subaru Card" it's really a Chase card with the Subaru logo on it.
I'm not familiar with the auto financing division though, but it's most likely still a chase auto loan (branded as subaru)
Sounds like they'll probably make good on paying off your old loan, just keep checking the balance on your old loan and make sure they do so. If for some reason you get to the point where they haven't made the payment and your old car payment becomes due, just contact your old finance company and explain it to them.
good luck though!
