Just a heads up, I got a $25 ticket for no front plate when my car was parked in lot B (off airport) at LAX. How lame, I guess they realy need some $.

Mount the plate, take a picture of it, and send it with $10, and your good to go.

I wonder if the fine doubles when you have a new car and no plates at all.

hey, look on the bright side, at least your car is still there!

oh, true story: my old roommate got his car stereo stolen from that very parking lot. it was probably swiped when the cop was busy writing up "missing front plate" tickets. bastards.

I get those all the time (3-4 times per year). It's the price of looking good. Sorta like a style tax.

I'm curious, did you pull in nose-first, or were you backed in? It's funny, whenever I go someplace (to school, work, mall, airport) nowadays, I seem to notice cops just driving around slow through parking lots, checking for up to date tags on the plates. And seeing that I don't have one on the front, I now pull straight in everywhere...and I can say I haven't gotten any hassle for not having one. (Knock on wood)

*But I did get nailed for having blue lights in my clear corners, and the cop...er, I mean PIG, did not like that at all.*

xs,

That's the pisser! I was parked normally (front first) and there was a truck head on in front of me. The only way they could see it was if the guy in front of me left, or if they were walking between the cars. I was in the lot for 8 days and the time on the ticket was about 3 hours after I parked it there.

hey try this out. you only need to have you plates while your vehicle is in motion. plates can work just like a vin number. if you didn't have any plates and you were to get a ticket, the officer would just check you vin number instead. so technically you could pull your plates off and walk around with them, they mount them when you get back to your car. you could contest your ticket.

Stealth are you seriously sure about that? I could just see people taking off their back license plate everytime they parked somewhere. :p

OH yea, whats wrong with blue lights in the clear corners?, I've never heard of anyone having a problem with that one before.

Got that? Anyone not with the Johnnies cannot wear blue lights anywhere on their vehicle. That is a fact. Not even rangers or ambulance drivers can have blue lights. Fuzz only.

As far as the plate goes, who see a WRX from the front? Don't make yourself a victim by parking backward, no matter how expensive your airdam is. Now that I think about it, is the lot at LAX public or private property? Might be an escape angle there.
