215-40-17 is my opinion, but my opinion is biased right?

Why not 215/45/17..that by far is the closest...and it doesn't rub....

FWIW, out of the 2 choices I would go with
the 45 series tire. No need worry about rim
damage, the tire is still stiff enough at
45%, & 205 vs. 215 is not that much wider.
Either one would be small than stock diameter anyways. Have you ever run a 40
series tire before? Trust me, you want more
tire than that!

40 series? Can you say rubber band?

Yauh! I mean 45-50 series look "rally".
40 series looks "ricey". Yuk! Eh, but "one
