Sweet, that one yours?

Pipercub 05-26-2002, 09:52 AM Although I am having trouble believing it myself, yes it is mine. It took me over 10 M-Fing years to get back to owning a BRAT and damn it I am doing it right. I am welding in more components today, that lift was yesterdays work.
Hey check this out:

82 BRAT with 8 in lift
Oh, man, I am so jealous right now:eek:
Truly amazing project Scott. I was going to PM you since I'm in the neighborhood -- Harpers Ferry, WV area-- but I didn't have the time.
I even saw a nice '84 Brat on the road yesterday afternoon....good shape, even with the mismatched tailgate. :)
Keep us updated on the project. How close is it to completion?
Burnout 05-26-2002, 11:57 PM I don't think those mud flaps are going to cut it any more:eek:
That’s truly a work of art, I’m jealous.
Pipercub 05-27-2002, 02:14 AM It has just begun. There is so much more I am doing, short list:
Bed mounted Fuel cell and batt
Rollbar, outside lightbar
body armor, subrame connecting assy
bumpers, winch
BUILT engine
supertrapp
dual shocks @ each wheel
guages
bed mounted spare
lights lights and more lights
body armor
paint job (current plan is the 2002 subaru rally car theme)
Allot has also been done, seats, bedlined bed and interior, lift etc.
Pipercub 05-27-2002, 02:29 AM Burnout "Wilson, NC" Dude, that is where I bought my Brat! I drove 250 miles there from VA and brought it back here.
Last time I talked to the guy who sold it to me he had two still for sale. One 85 that is good for abuse but not planning to keep and one 78 for 1,000 that looked to be in good shape, I did not inspect it closely. It is Olive Drab and Black, sort of a Hummer/Brat thing going.

Pipercub 05-27-2002, 03:18 PM I am building a bad ass EA81 for it. Future plans involve a SVX H6 motor. And I assure you just as many people say that can't be done as said you can't lift a BRAT.
credit xtc 05-27-2002, 10:21 PM I don't listen to naysayers. Just look at my XT-6 project just finished the paint job now in for new interior, (headliner..carpet ect. The engine is being built as well supercharged with low compression and high boost.

I was at Dale Teagues last weekend and saw a very nice EJ22T motor. He's also got a full SVX powerplant too. May require a little less work/fabrication.
