Is is possible to drop a MY99 2.5L EJ25 H4 Big Block Engine into my 93 L? if yes, what do i need ? It is a complete short block ( crank, rods , pistons , etc.) so are there any other parts that i will be needing? also, if i make this change, i want to switch to a MT as well, so what will i need there, besides a new tranny, and a set of pedals?

please let me know, im really starting to get into this whole suby thing but i need more knowledge before i get in too deep.

thanks
mike

ECM wiring harness and every little electrical doodad you can think of. Why not just do an STi swap? If I had it to do all over again I would buy an AWD L and swap drivetrainnns.

I'm not just saying this because your interested in my engine, but you'll probably want a 2000 or 2001 engine over the older ones. The 00-01 have MAP sensors while the older cars had MAF's which don't like modding too much.

Yes and no. The MAF on the 98's was a hot-wire MAF, and is pretty hearty and doesn't really cause any problems. It's the 99's hot-film MAF that is touchy and prone to breakage. But I've also heard that the MAF is a little better to use in a turbo application, but the MAP in the 00-01 is much easier to work with, NA or turbo, AFAIK.
