I was out working on the rally car last night when I noticed that there's a small hole worn in the floor panel near the center tunnel! I guess when I removed the carpet, I exposed a section of floor that was never intended to be stepped on, or something. It seems like the metal in the spot is exceptionally thin, almost like it's supposed to come off. Anybody else ever experienced this sort of thing?

I have seen a rather large hole in the firewall. The only blocking anything from getting in is some insulation. I used it to run wires to my battery. Hope no water gets in there.

just to get the updated info into a search, it turned out that the hole is a cutout in the flooring, usually covered by a thick sticker and the carpet. No problem, it's just that when I took out the carpet, my feet started putting wear and tear on something the interior designers didn't anticipate.

sounds like you need to add some diamond plate to your floor!! It'll give it that nice industrial look. (lotta rally cars have it)
