Gang -

I would like to verify that my wheels don't fit over the 4-pots. If you got 'em, let me know. It would only take a minute to swap the wheel.

I would just like to confirm before I dish out cash for new wheels. :(

I have these and they are close to my 18's

I would bet they would be close with your rims.

Would you be able to meet up sometime and swap one of my rims on to your car? I would like to verify that they don't fit before I cough up money for new rims. TIA.

Hey Paul, you need to come down in the city and visit. Maybe we can all grab lunch whenever you decide to visit, but I don't think I'll be up for a drive.

Doesn't Dave have these on his car with the 17" rims? Also, ask Braden, he'd know.

Take care Diz!

Didn't your mother teach you to respect your elders? ;) I would like to come down sometime. Getting people together in Boulder is like pulling teeth.

Bob -

Nice to see you slumming around these parts. Actually, Dave has the Wilwood 6-pots (cash-money, baby...). Drop me a line. I'd like to hear about the new house.

Hey Paul and everyone else!!

Greetings from Spain ;). I actually saw a Subaru dealership here in San Sabastion so OF course we had to stop becuase I wanted to compare notes on the STi since they get them over here. BUT they árenīt getting a STi for another couple of weeks.

BUT I did look over the regular WRX a bit and I donīt know if this is the norm BUT it came with 4pots front and 2pots rear. I checked under the hood and everything was pretty much the same even down too the crappy stock turbo and downpipe.

Paul - Sorry I didnīt make it too Prodrive... it was about a two hour train ride in the oppositte direction of where we were going (Paris). BUT I hope to see and maybe even check out a STi before I leave... lucky European bastards [heh].

edit: internet cafes rock :D... oh and Paul this WRX had the 17Ļgold wheels on it like the STi... so they could clear the 4pots... and even with those it was kinda close on the front.

Diz,

You should do the wilwood ProECM 4 pot brake kit - I am using that on my RS with WRX wheels and WRX rotrs - they rock!

email info@proecm.com or sales@imprezars.com for info and prices.

Don't know total price, mine were at "Beta Tester Price". That's why I gave you two emails above to contact for price :p

Heh, if you didn't tell me your age, there is no way I could have guessed that you were older than me.:p

I am using this kit, with Wilwood Billet & Gator Pads, & stopping is much better, with good modulation.

I have Stock WRX wheels & Rotors.

Buy some!

who was your vendor?

or did you build the kit like David @ProECM recommended? if so, where did you get the pieces?

Well, I expect that www.SubaruPlanet.com (us/we) will be the vendor soon.

I got everything from ProECm as one of their equipment testers. You get the brackets, lines, bolts and locktite from ProECM (or us) for $249.95 + S&H (to be determined) and get the calipers and pads from summitracing.com

The calipers will be about $120 each for Billet Dynalite I think (for 1" rotor thickness) and the pad's costs vary. Polymatrix-D pads may be about $40+ and Gator green race pads may be about $60+.

New 11.4" diameter WRX rotors are about $80 each, or pay about 50% more for good Disk Brake of Australia slotted rotors. I bought used WRX rotors for $100.
