Holy crap! Definately the fastest subaru I've ridden in; even faster than the cobb/aps tuned WRX at the modern garage meet in salt lake a while back. It was fun to see him beat on the chalak hardened synchro set, too :D

Same thing happened with me when I sold him my old RE-92s. Took me and my gf for a quick spin. Afterwards she understood why I wanted to make my car faster :devil:

That was on a 50 degree day with 97 octane and making 10 psi in 1st gear and building to 13-14 psi of boost by 4th gear. The same conditions that allowed me to keep up with Jeff Lundgren's Z-06 corvette (groupbuycenter.copm guy).

After the mods I will be able to do that on an 80- degree day I hope.

If it's any consolation, the speedo was readingt 101-102 when I hit the qtr mile, and the gtech does seem to read 2-4mph fast most of the time, although the seconds are usually within 0.10 second...

I know it was 101-102mph because I was on the rev limiter with my old gear box 1 week before my new gears went in.

Sounds like there might be a showdown in CO. Not just the PPIHC either! Woo Hoo!

Well,

I drop off my SubySports brand "G-force" Air/Water intercooler with the fabricator on Sunday at the World Arena autocross. He will jig up the new IC with the new and improved up/downpipe, build a new pipe from turbo to IC, and send off the pipes for JetHot coating next week to get back by the 21st. Hoping with finger's crossed...

I'll be able to remove the 3" high flow cat and insert the track pipe section as well, when needed. I'll have one O2 sensor bung in the up-pipe and one in the downpipe. I will be using a large 22b heat exchanger up front, care of SubySports.

The new pipes will be compatable with JC Sports Gen 3 turbo kit. On the dyno the Gen 3 kit made 202hp at the wheels at 5.8 psi (with air water IC and 3" catback) while my older Gen 2 kit made 212hp at 8.75psi and 233hp at 10 psi. So, the new kit will make more power per lb of boost (within 10hp at 3psi less boost!).

This is basically the turbo kit we have been offering for $3,999 complete and I hope to be installing everything that weekend before the PPIHC and may miss the meet on the 22nd.
