looks like something with IE6 public preview.

Netscape 6 works fine.

Sorry guys there is definitly a cookie problem with IE6 Public Preview. There's nothing I can code around, because there's nothing wrong with the code.

You can either uninstall it, use a differnet computer, or install another browser that you can use to upload pics. I'm sure it's just a bug that Microsoft will eventually fix, but in the meantime there is nothing that can be done.

Im having problems too. I goto the log in screen and put in my Pass and username and it just boots me back to the login screen and it keeps doing it non-stop.

I am using netscape 4.7

Alright... well there are a few things that you should all check...

#1 the members list uses cookies... if you have them disabled you will need to turn them on.

#2 if you are not using the e-mail address that you signed up with then you are not going to be able to login. And keep in mind... this is the e-mail address you signed up for the seperate members list account with, not the one that's attached to the forums username.

#3 IE6... for some reason it's just not setting the cookies correctly. I think it's flaw in the browser.

This is from the help file on the main page:
How do I register for the i Club Member List? (not the Bulletin Board member list)
In order to register for the members list you must first own a Subaru (obviously). Next step is to go here and submit all the information that the form ask for. Make sure you remember the e-mail and password you choose during this sign-up process as you will need it should you ever want to edit this information. <FONT COLOR="red">Please note: The Member List and the Bulletin Board software do NOT use the same login and password.</FONT c> The reason for this is because not all of our car owners want to participate in the Bulletin Board, and not all of out members that participate in the Bulletin Board own Subarus.

Nick,

The problems with the IE 6 preview may have something to do with the new cookie security and privacy features.

also for what it is worth, I am using IE 5.5 sp1, and some time I see pics, sometimes I don't. It does not matter if I use my home machine where I registered, or my machine at work.

On occastion, I have been able to get around the bad pic by opening it in a separate window, or by opening and reopening the same thread repeatedly. I have seen similar behavior in the latest and greatest netscrape browser too.

What ever it is, it sounds like it is on the server side IMHO

One thing I've noticed about IE6 preview is it stops loading the page if you click on a hyperlink within the page, even if you shift-click it to open a new window. It still stops loading. The old one didn't do that.

These are two different problems all together guys...

The problem posted in this thread was in regards to not being able to login and edit pictures in the Members List. Not in the forums. I had the same thing happen to me when I installed IE6 here to test it.

I haven't changed anything on my end as far as code, so it's something browser, whether it needs to be corrected by me eventually or not... it started life working just fine till Microsoft decided to change the rules... Again!

&gt;&gt;&gt;it started life working just fine till Microsoft decided to change the rules... Again!

I know the feeling. I had to rewrite 20 of the 25 ASP scripts on our web server when we "upgraded" from NT4 to Win2000. Microsoft "fixed" a lot of things without telling anyone. So then, most of our site wouldn't work right after the upgrade. Took 2 months to find all the problems and fix them. Bastards.
