Alex-

I've asked you several times to post the seat mod (using the Forester adjustment on the RS) and you keep telling me it'll be soon. Hey, we're all busy, but you've been saying that for months now and it's still not there. What's the hold-up?

Can someone else who's done this mod PLEASE write it up (w/ pics if possible) and post it in the mods section?

Much appreciated,
-Chris

Hey, get back in line behind the fog light (with parking lights) mod that disappeared ages ago. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/rolleyes.gif

As soon as my parts come in I will take some pics of the install

Thanks, Cliff. I'd appreciate any help w/ this!

It's things like this that stop me from sending money to support this site. Once the moderators are better about adding stuff when they say, I'll send my support $$. But I can't see the reason to support things that are promised and not delivered. What exactly would I be paying for then? Hope they keep that in mind when posting things like, "You're only a TRUE member if you send us money."

cakagan, you are not paying salaries. Money that is DONATED is used to improve the performance and pay for the bandwidth that having this many users cost. If you don't want to send them money, just don't. I think the mods would rather not receive money from you, than hear you whine and complain that they aren't doing the job you "paid" them to do.

Nick or Alex could clarify this, but I am very sure that the money that is given, no way pays for the cost of keeping this site up. That is how almost all club sites run.

Cakagan, I don't need you or your money. Your tone and your post are very offensive and I don't like that.

I made my seats adjustable a while back and didn't take pics. Few local members wanted to do the mod and I offered to do it for them in exchange for taking pics. They agreed but later bailed. Where in the world am I going to take pics from? If you are so interested, buy me a new set of seats and I will do the mod and take pics.

Us Russians have a proverd. It goes something like this. If a man is carrying you on his back, stop moving around and making it harder for the person to carry you. After all, he IS CARRYING you. I hope the meaning wasn't lost in my goffy translation. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif

Geez Luiz!

Imprezer-

That sucks that people bailed on you, but couldn't you have posted something along the lines of, "Attn people waiting for seat mod info: people bailed and it won't be done"? That would have been great to know, and would have prevented my post. But all I was told, several times, was that you would do it by such-and-such a date. So how about a little update or FYI on your part? That's all I ask.

You don't like my tone, nor do you need me/my money? Hey, that's fine. I don't like the fact that when someone says something you don't like you get defensive and say things like "I don't need you or your money." http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif And I don't really care whether you like me or not (I'm guessing NOT--LOL), but I do apologize if it seemed like I thought that funds were supporting the site and not bandwidth; I stand corrected and I'm sorry. I like this site and the info I gain from it. It's definitely something I read weekly, and I'll gladly support the site so that we're all able to use it to its' full potential.

Alex, I have nothing against you and definitely nothing against this site. Now that I know the mods won't be done, I'll stop "whining" about it, okay? Oh, and thanks for "carrying" me... http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Just wanted to add, I've been waiting for this too but looking around under the seat it seems pretty simple once you have the parts.

The parts I believe you would need are as follows:

64171H (seat rails)
64125A (Side plastic cover)
(2X)64066A (height adjustment knobs)

The only thing keeping me from starting my project is the cost. The seat rails were over $200. I'm going to try to source them from a junkyard when I'm ready.

Bustin on Alex for not updating something!!!

Welcome to the I-Club people! The world's coolest msg board! It takes a lot of time to run a site and keep it up to date. Something I told Alex when he conceived the idea http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif

Look at it this way... Would you rather be driving your car or coding HTML? 'nuff said!

Danny, you are wrong (as usual http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif ). You have no idea how much work we put into this site daily. Have you bothered looking into the products section? Or links section? Or others? Everything is being updated all the time. I am not even talking about the club work we do outside internet such as communicating with vendors, SOA, dealers and public. You all think that all we do is the website. Wrong. That is what different about i Club. We are much more than a webisite.

Plus, I get about 100 e-mail a day about the GB's I am running, personal, question about the my car and cars in general, and, what I hate the most, e-mail from people that cannot figure out what to do if they forget their passwords. There is a link for that that auto-sends your your password. I get at least 5-10 of those per day.

On top of that, I go to school full time and work part time. Plus I just moved and I have a life outside the club (not much though http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif ).

I have a garage full of parts I need to install, but I just don't have time for anything.

Today just hasn't been a great day for you has it Alex. It's alright, most of us understand how much all you guys do for the I-club. I feel you, I'm underappreciated at my job too.

Hehe, nah, its cool. I love what I do and thats what matters. Money or no money, I will do it regardless. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif

Plus, those who upset me, will be fed to the fish. Between Nick and I, we have support of both Italian and Russian mafia. Nobody messes with this combo. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif

I am just bustin your chops Alex. Unlike some people, (not saying anyone here at the I-Club) I have a very good understanding of what it takes to run a web site, and especially one of this magnitude.

When you are pouring all your time into something (like I-Club) and then someone comes along and says why ain't there any updates, well, then you sometimes have to sit back and laugh at it all...

Hell, I have a hard enough time maintaining a static 20 page web site, let alone even contemplating anything of this size.

Sorry if I found the post amusing. People are always apt to point out the flaws in something before they admire the hard work we put into it.

Ok, I appologize too. I was a bit harsh on you. It was just the first post I read today and kinda set me off track. I like you fine, but I won't hug you. I don't bend that way. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif

Here is the update. One of the members is on the search for the parst needed to do the mod. He'll take pics and I will write a How-To. The sooner I get the pics, the sooner I do the mod.

Ciao!

Yeah this is amazing. Not to bad mouth anyone, but we all know what would have happened if this was on a different site. hint, hint. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/lol.gif
Someone should post this forum all of the internet and say, "We all CAN get along."
It just gives you that fuzzy feeling inside.

Anyway, keep this site going strong, and thanks for carrying me too.http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif
