depending on your mods you shift when you feel the power drops off it's that simple the reason the civics getting you is cause our cars have crappy top end. Besides you ain't going 100 in a 1/4 mile so it don't matter anyways.

all i have is borla headers and greddy cat back exhaust. if i bring it to redline and shift i get that banging of the awd. that cant be good though.

Banging?? Learn to shift better/faster (clutch foot & gas foot and arm) and you wont bang the gears.

How long have you had the car?

Your best shift point would probably be around 5900 rpms.

Well I don't have that problem at the strip and I power shirft as well. The problem you have sounds like you're not shifting right. Make sure when you shift fast the clutch is fully engaged or get a new clutch if it's not grabbing anymore.
