well, everything's okay now.. my nylon washers are a bit thick, but the main thing is the shift knob won't seat allt he way.. it gets to a certain point, and just spins.
Really annoying when I'm trying to shift. =P
anyone got tricks to get this thing to sit still? loctite blue just won't hold.

It has to bottom out... Are the threads stripped on the knob?
I have used the stock knob on my sshifter without any problem. I also installed a MOMO knob but it rattled some. I used some auto glue (stuff that gets goopy but not hard). That seemed to wotk pretty well.

It threads fine until it gets all the way down. Then it slips. =P

I got a cheep one from pep-boys. It also was a little loose. What I did was get some of the electrical shrink wrap and melted it over the little nylon washer so it would fit. It also absorbs some of the vibration from the STI hardened bushings, very quiet now.
