I really do not understand why these vendors keep dropping GC8 products.

Well, with all of the vendors the market will shrink for the GC8 and increase for the WRX. It makes perfect business sense, but sucks for us.:(

I was hoping that since the 2.5L was now the base engine in all the cars that there would be more of a market for stuff for it, but it seems that most people are just focusing on the WRX and ignoring the 2.5L.:(

just do what i've been doing for quite some time, and look overseas...when i bought my car, there was NO aftermarket in the US to speak of.

or call places like rallispec, vermont sports car, or AV sport, since there's still plenty of people out there prepping GC8's for race use.

They make altezza tail lights for the gc8, apc makes em'. Any good import shop should be able to get them.-Scu

I have talked about this with Dan and he is very interested in locating and stocking old school and 2.5 bits. If you come across distributors/manufacturers of these items pass it along to Dan. Most manufacturers won't touch somthing that they won't sell a bunch of. There are several shops in North America that specialize in 2.5 N/A build-ups and we should be supporting their efforts too.
