Looks like a lot of people did, with 1100 views and 5 replies. That's still a lot of power. Do you have a 0-60 & 1/4 mile time for it?

770hp would run about 7.80's in the quarter in my dragster or 9.1?'s in my nova if it would hook.

833hp would go 7.60 in my dragster.

My dad just bought an 81 Z28 with a Blown 383. Its a Weiand 671 12% Underdriven with two Holley 800s.

I missed out on a 63 Nova with Blown 355 that runs 10s for $5100. Wish I had some extra money laying around.

Est. 800hp 532ci BBC single dominator on alcohol. It runs high 7.70's in the heat, and been a 7.64@180mph. One of these days we are going to spray it(nawse) the whole way down the track to see what it will run, we guesstimate it should go 7.10's@193.

My friends street driven Z06 makes 720hp at the wheels...

140.2mph in the ¼ sliding thru the traps.

Sickest REAL street car around here.

Ya, my dad was building an all aluminum 572 motor to put in his car, and to make it a long story short, he bought a bad black, and it went down the hole from there.

He did get it on the dyno, although, it was still runni9ng terrible, and with 2 banging valves, 8 bent pushrods, and loads of other probs, it made 863 hp at 5800 rpm. This is on a single 1150 alcohol dominator. Should have been good for around 1050-1100 when everything was right. Would have put his doorcar in the 7's.

Now, he might be able to ressurect it. It will need to be welded up, as it was bored to much, and there is only about a 1/16th between pistons. No sleeve will hold and fit right. So hopefull he can get it welded up, rebored, and put together, or else he has a 3k dollar anchor weight. That, plus the fully ported Dart 360 heads, 20 pistons, SS custom studs, miloden gear drive, and all the other special things are completely wasted.

Since this thread has gone completely off the deep end...

Here is a shot of my friend John's car at Vegas in April.

http://www.rad3.net/images/johnny5.jpg

He qualified there with a 7.05 @ 196.73 (High altitude and temps in the upper 80's)

Memorial Day weekend he set the Pro Stock record at Sears Point during testing - 6.87
http://www.searspoint.com/pages/nhra/geyer.html

All this is done with a 5 speed tranny!

You can see him run at Pomona in November for the Finals

Cool. Pro stock is the hardest and most competitive class there is right now. I wish him luck and will keep an eye out for him to see how he does.

You want close racing, Pro Stock is it. In St. Louis this weekend, the difference between the #1 and #16 qualifier was .077 seconds!

John was over last night. He will be running 9 of the last 11 races (he won't be at Reading or Brainerd), so if any of you are near by, stop in the pits and say hello. His next race will be Denver 7/19-21.

He also races non-wing sprint cars. If any of you are near Ventura Speedway, he will be out this Saturday.

Oh yeah, HP number for the Motown Missile - just under 1350

Is that a NOS sticker on the side of the car? j/k:lol:

Only if Alderman or Geoffrion are driving it.

No NOS on that bad boy, just 2 big ol' fat carbs atop a tunnel ram intake and serious high test race fuel.

They are not going to Denver. Too much money to prep the car for 1 high altitude weekend. So the next run is Seattle at the end of July

I was just bustin your chops. Remember Alderman and Geoffrion being accused of NOS a couple years ago? Rumor was, that was the only way a dodge could qualify. But they have come a long way since then.

Ya, that was like 4-5 years ago. It took them like 2-3 years to recover and bring the funds to restart.

Was it Jerry Eckman who had it hidden in the dry sump oil pump? Now my girl Angelle Saviore is being accused of hiding it on her bike.

Yeah, Dodge is doing very well, with Alderman leading the way. I'm not a big Dodge fan, more of a Chevy guy, but I support them because of John. It is good to see them competitive again.

So my buddy John was in Seattle this weekend for the NHRA Nationals. He just missed making the show (qualified #17). Records fell during qualifying, with one Pro Stocker running a 6.777 - .036 faster than the old record. Want an amazing 60ft time? How about .992 - the fastest ever run by a Pro Stock. I know Funny Cars and Top Fuel run faster, but the Pro Stocks are NA cars.
