I washed my car this morning and an hour ago I noticed the lights were still on. I thought the lights couldn't be on without the key? Has anyone had this before? I might take it for a ride and see if some relays are wet.

Not only did you wash your car, but you also cleaned your interior, including the dash.

Switch on top of streering colum. Welcome, n00b! ;)

Glad I've been reading about the WRX on here long enough to know what the fix to this issue is... no n00b questions from me. (I hope)

You may want to check the muffler bearings, while you're at it. :)

....n.. check the blinker fluid too....

The only reason why I didn't freak when i did it was I saw it on the I-club first.......

Ah......how much time this board has saved me......

It's actually parking/emergency lights (not hazards). So, if you're stuck on the side of the road but need to leave the car with some sort of lights on (and you want to take the key with you) you flip the switch on top of the steering column. It looks like the day time running lights and the rear brake lights stay on with the switch on. Funny how I remeber my dealer telling me about this NOW. I was so excited when I first sat in my car that the dealer run-through kinda sounded like the teacher from Peanuts!

Dealer: "wah waaah wah wah waaaah"
Tom: "Mmmmm Momo steering wheel."

hehe, yah when i get new things i pay absolutely no attention to what people tell me about it....when i got my jeep from my dad, he was telling me all this about how to take the top off and put it back on...i definitely needed his help on how to put the back piece back on, because i didnt pay attention to him the first time
