Say that if everything goes well.

This is what i have in my engine.

Apexi AVC-R all the setting done running @ 1.3 bar
Apexi turbo timer
3" down pipe no cat
3" Kakimoto GT1.OZ cat back exhaust no cat
modify up-pipe
UR crank pully
blitz front mount intercooler
blitz bov
blitz intake
Sard fuel presure regulator

What do you guys think i should be getting in the 1/4 mile and what kinda power m i getting in the dyno

dont know what your elevation is but id imagine low real low 13 high 12,s just a guess based on the fact iam running 13.6 withmbc set 15 and uppipe, as far as hp no idea anyone else want to add here? might be a littl econservative here go run it and let me know:D

modify up-pipe

did you gut the cat?

Boosted Wagon

Yup i did. Because i was running high boost, and the cat got pluged.

So i was pretty sure i was the first wrx in my area to encounter this problem

Took the dealership couple of days to figure it out and about 1100 CND bucks labour to fix it.

Anyways, the problem is fixed and the mechicanic at the shop help me to gut the cat.

But i m planning to get a Zerosports one

Anyways, still works great though.

A little unsolicited input...

I ran a 13.6 at 96 mph Thursday night, down here in Florida (60' time was 1.8). The elevation was right around sea level, but it was hot and extremely humid and the intercooler became heat soaked too. Were it cool and dry I likely could have come in around 13.0-13.2. My mods are a TurboXS Turbo back exhaust, and Injen intake and a TurboXS manual boost controller (set to 1.1 bar). I don't think the car will do much better than that with the stock turbo.

damn I trapped at 96 in the heat my first time out last night and all I have is an mbc i made for 5 bucks, hacked resonator and K&N drop in. My time was 14.01 so you got .4 on me but trapped at the same speed.

My 60' was 1.87...nothing special...like I said it was my first time out.

I thought with a turboback and mbc you'd easily trap over 100???
Anyone care to comment on this?

1.3 bar is 19psi!!!

My MBC at 1.1 bar (16psi), with uppipe, axle back, and K&N drop in, I trapped 98mph and ran a 13.8 with a sad 1.9 60'. I have a bit of front wheelspin.

Yeah, I thought I was good for about 13 flat and 100-103 mph, didn't happen that way though...too damned hot and humid down here...Also, I don't go to the track that often and I'm sure my driving is not the greatest...where do you recomend I make my shifts? I was taking it up to around 7000 before I hit the next gear...should I have shifted earlier? or gone up and hit the rev limiter? I could probably shift quicker with more practice, that probably cost me a little bit of time too...and I left the spare tire and all that crap in the car, had a little over a 1/4 tank of gas...I could have lightened it more, but I wanted to see what it would do in street form.

Then again, with enough practice, and maybe a spray kit would help...hey, wasn't there some one on this site who builds them and sells them?

I'm not a dragstrip guy. I'm more of a math & auto-x kinda guy. I'll pass along the shift points from math, backed up with people who've gotten stellar results :)

7000 1st-2nd
6400 there on out

good luck :)

Thanks for the upshift tips, any hints on lauch RPM? I tried 4k and slipped the clutch a little to try and avoid wheel spin, but they chirped some anyway. (okay: according to the time slip 60' 1.826; 330' 5.571; 1/8 8.685; 1000' 11.387; and 1/4 13.691 at 96.05 mph). With my mods (even with the lousy weather) it should have been better - I guess I'm in need of a lot more practice...

Thanks for all the tips everyone...hopefully I'll do better next time.:D

I sell spray kits in the private for sale section, FYI.

I would estimate low 13s, BUT... running 1.3 bar on the stock ECU without a fuel-cut defender and A/F and timing control dont make much sense. You will hit fuel-cut (boost-cut) at 17.5-17.7 psi IF it is maintained throughout the length of say 3rd gear. AND the stock ECU will be hating on you and most likely will pull ALOT of timing... the front mount is good to have, as is the fuel regulator... but without at least an AFC (better yet a Unichip or standalone) you may run into problems.

Also, I would like to note that running 19 psi on the stock turbo is abit overkill... you'll most likely get a better times running 16-17 psi... and in the mean time you'd avoid fuel-cut and the ECU might not get as mad:).

BTW- when I drag race I have never shifted early... and I have pretty much one of the fastest Vishnu Stage 0 times out there...if not thee fastest.

just my $0.02...

Although I suck at driving, I do know some things that might help you.

1. Turn your boost down. From my experience, including data logging, anything over 16.5 on the stock turbo & ECU gives worse results.

2. Ice your intercooler before every run. This makes a big difference!

3. Check your tire pressures. The numbers recommended on your door seem to work best.

In terms of shifting, although theory seems to point to ~ 6400 RPM from 2nd gear on, almost everyone running great times seems to be shifting closer to redline. I have tried both ways, and my best results have been shifting closer to redline.

kinda hard to ice down a front mount.... but good suggestion for a top mount.... :) :)

If you were to go to a paintball supply store or on ebay find a 9 oz co2 tank and just make some sort of screw on valve. You could spray the intercooler with that to the point it really frosts over and gets super cold. And that couldn't cost more than say 35 bucks or so.

I do have a S-AFC sitting aside. Just that i havn't install it yet. I m planning to sell it for a ECU.

As for fuel cut, so far i m still fine. Actually, my boost is more like 1.2 bar. But it always spikes up to 1.3 bar. After 5000rpm, the boost drop back down to 1.15 or 1.2

But just earlier in low rpm, it will jump up to 1.3 bar. Then drop down a little back to 1.2 or 1.15

I tried the upshift as described and ran slower. i shift at redline in 1st and close to it there on out. just try different shift points and see what works for you
