Because I just blew my 2nd tranny on my 98 RS I've decided that Subaru 2.5 tranny's,...well trying to say it nicely, SUCK. Is there anyway I can get a 6 speed tranny on my 98RS or will the gear ratio not match up because of the lack of horsepwer. Anyone know who sells performance tranny;s because I'm scared to get another stock tranny unless someone knows where I can get a used oned for realy cheap.

the toyota matrix coming out has a six-speed and is about 180 horsepower. you should be ok...

I think he means that preformance wise the 6speed should be fine.

Just curious, but what mods are you running that you are blowing trannies??

The subaru trannies are typically pretty tight.
