All I have to say is that that Jack guy was treated completely unfair. In all honesty, his posts were WAY more mature than everyones including Leo. Well, dougs was mature. But, do you people not see that yourselves? Why does a mod side with people that are just getting pissed cause they arent smart enough to think of calm, and correct response? Seriously, it just doesnt make sense! So what he wanted to street race! There arent many people here that can say they havent street raced. He seemed to be a smart person, and how do you know he is some "punk kid." He didnt come off that way too me! It seemed to me that he just wanted to have a discussion. An ADULT discussion.

Although, racing to 140 really isnt a great idea, unless it is just some huge deserted airfield or something safe. But, how do you know he didnt have somethin safe in mind? All you do is jump on him without even know ing anything.

And, the only thing unsafe about going 140, in the right place and conditions, is worrying about your car blowing a tire, or some other thing happening that shouldnt.

As a spectator of yesterday's thread and non-wrx owner I have to say you are way off. Just reading the thread "I am Jack's VR6" came off as some punk kid who was trying to feel better about his ride and searching for some possibility that his VR6 could beat a WRX if the conditions were right, stars were aligned, 139mph to 140mph, etc. etc. The fact that he was basing his opinion on stuff he had read and not on experience really showed some ignorance and immaturity. Even faced with several drivers who had owned or driven both, he continued to try and find something that wasn’t there.

Ok, Ya, when I reread it, he does sorta come off that way. I started this more cause I was pissed at the mods LOL.

But, the biggest problem I saw was the 0-120 comment. That was the big thing that I saw you and others completely acting like morons about. I guarantee that most of that 5 sec was from 0-70 or 80 or whatever. I actually think he was sorta right. I think he was sorta right. I bet it would be "close."

And who is to say that YOU wouldnt be offended if someone just made some blank statement that your car is slow? He did a very good job of writing polite(and yes they were compared to yours and others) and understandable replies.

I just get SO sick of people just jumping on others.

I do see your point of him kinda stirring trouble. But hell, there are plenty of heated debates between members here.
