I got an obs 1.8 liter air intake and I realized that I might need to do a little modifying and I want to keep my car looking really nice. Pics would help a lot and please dont reply if all you have to say is throw it out. Thanks
OK, you said OBS and OBX in the same post. I assume you mean you have an intake for an MY95 Impreza Outback Sport that you want to put onto your MY95 Impreza L? What size motor does your L have and I assume you mean that the donor car that the intake came from is a 1.8?
Also, what do you mean you want to keep your car "looking nice?" What chopping and cutting do you need to do to get the intake to fit? Is the new intake that different than the old one and, most importantly, why are you switching intakes to simply put on a different stock intake from the same model year of a different trim level?

Our intake pipe is one of the best IMO... Just a straight pipe, no funky boxes :D (exept of course the filter box, which i dont have anymore since I stuck a cone filter on there with a MAF adapter)
If you should do anything right now without spending money, you should AT LEAST take out the fender intake silencer :p (its a big white toilet looking thingy in the fender going out of your filter box. Just 2 screws and you can pull it out from under the bumper)

sean,
I have a 95 1.8 and I am talking about the obx aftermarket intake not one for or from an outback. Made especially for a 1.8 gc8 impreza. It is a intake with a cone filter, a high performance air induction if you will.

Did you get a MAF adapter?

i don't know what an OBX intake is, but...it should fit with no modification...clamp it down to the throttle body and MAF sensor, plug all the vaccuum lines on to the nipples on the intake, and you should be set.
where are all these 1.8's coming from all of a sudden?
