Anyone have any advice about these mufflers or care to share any experiences about them. Thanks.

i been using them for a few years now, they have a really nice build quality, they have a real low rumble sound on the subarus, and they hold up well to road salt(im from pa). for the price i think there the best out there, the other stainless mufflers i seen for roughly the same price had the chrome finish flakeing off within a year.

I have a Magnaflow cat back with a resonator on my '01 RS. Personally I think it's too loud even with the resonator. I'm probably going back to stock until I find a quieter alternative.

If you don't mind the noise, the quality of the muffler itself is very good.

I have one on my 01 RS. It's what Rallispec used for their exhausts. It's not any louder than any other performance exhausts out there, but that may depend on the type of can you're using. I'm sure Magnaflow has different models.

Lots of shops sell lots of mufflers. The local shop here in town recommended Flowmaster for my Scooby. Flowmaster produces an import muffler...60 Series, I believe. He told me that the Magnaflow is basically a glorified glasspack...straight thru design. He sells them, but doesn't recommend them.

I know for a fact that the Magnaflow mufflers will be significantly louder than a Flowmaster. My exhaust is nice and mellow. It does, however, have a Magnaflow brand resonator in the midpipe. That really helps to quiet the drone.

I have a magnaflow Muffler (offset/center) and I think it sounds great. I have a custom cat-back with a resonator built in, and its nice an deep (also louder) at under 2500RPM. Once you reach 3000+ its actually quiets out a little and is still a mellow tone. Without a resonator it would be too loud for my tastes, but thats just me. I just got the borla headers, so sound clips are at a minimum.

Sure, its a straight-through design, but with no louvers or flow directors, its gonna give you the most HP.

I've had mine for almost 2 years, no rust at all, build quality is top notch for the price. I got a custom pipe with resonator in it, and I don't think it louder than apexi N1 or stromung. I got it at www.mofugas.com

I've found the MagnaFlow #14813 (I"m pretty sure aout the #) with the two 3" tips that are 7" long fit perfectly into the body cutout. The tips are double walled and beveled on the end. You can look straight thru it and there's no fiberglass I could see. Just wall perforations with nothing projecting. The inside cases opening up to the double 3" tips makes for a cavernous interior and no restriction.

Quality is superb. Sound is mellow burble at idle and not too loud at highway speeds. Cost me $150 installed. Has to be (wire) welded on. Have the installer cut the hangers off the stock muffler and wire weld them on the new muffler case and then use the stock rubber hangers.

I have a magnaflow muffler with 2.5" cat-back piping with no resonator.
It is pretty loud when you let off the throttle, but under hard acceleration, my intake growles much louder than the exhaust. Overall, with the system, I am very pleased.(hp, fit, finish etc,)
