Haw is the base map? I am just running a turbo back fo now. Is there any maps that could get me started. Any thing I need to know before I purchase this. Thanks

The base map that comes with the Link is a good starting point. Beyond that, there's a lot of info posted here that can help out, as well as those of us who already have one. The first thing you should learn is to datalog like a mofo and spend some time learning how to examine your logs. I use Excel myself - it can process csv files and graphing is really easy.
