They look like they are a little saggy (hey, keep your mind on topic)and there are the rub marks, like you are taking corners really hard. But I am not, and on top of that the rears are doing the same thing. I may have a bad tire gauge, but I have them all up to 50psi!

Thats dangerous. 50psi cold...muchless 50psi hot. The only way to improve the sidewall handling of the re92 is replace them.

50psi at cold?! You might blow up the tire when it gets too hot.

see, now you guys got me all nervous. I let some air out of the one tire. I also think there is some uneven wear on both front tires. the inside 1-1,5 inches are worn down pretty good, but the weird thing is that the wear is the exact same on both sides. I will get pics up tonight so that you guys can see what I am talking about.

jeez you guys, it is only 6 more psi than what is listed on the tires themselves.

Hey! Let some air out of your tires NOW! I dont want your tires to blowout on the road and you get hurt.

I dont know the normal rating for the RE92's and your impreza, but I would guess that 30-35 psi is the safe range. 50 is definitely DANGEROUS.

That's 6 more than the MAX pressure! I keep my fronts at 32 and rears at 29. BTW, inside the door frame it says front 32 rear 28. You almost doubled the recommended pressure.

Nothing wrong with running the tires at max cold pressure of 44, but 50 cold is too high.
It might only be 6 lbs, but that's per square inch. That equals a lot more stress on the tire.

I have had to run the stock RE92's at 38 front 36 rear on the street to stay off of the sidewalls.

Get new tires ASAP.

Just a note. The RE92 is rated as a mud and snow tire (M+S), not a high performance tire. However, I ran mine with 40psi (front) and 37psi (rear) and did slolam and hard cornering stuff in the hugh parking lot of Virginia Motorsport Park as a part of a Scooby Day hosted by Richard West (Autox expert) and didn't roll the sidewalls. When the car starts to understeer open the wheel. Don't try to make a car turn when it won't. Stay ahead of the car. Yes, I want new sneakers. But, I'll learn the car's traits on this "throw-away" rubber of the stock tires and get the SO-2's to replace them when they wear out. I've done 4 autocrosses and 5 track days in 6 months. I still have a good 4 to 5 months left on them.

Very good point. I frequently have to "reset" the slip angle to keep the car turning.

I happen to take a particular corner on my way to work everyday that likes to fold tires. It's about 160 degree turn with a sideways grade to it, 20 mph max. The tires aren't pushing in the corner because they have so much weight on them, but by the same token all of that weight gets the RE92's on the sidewall for a second.

Smooth IS fast! Don't move the car more than it has to off of a straight line.

Does this mean that my dealer shouldn't have inflated my tires to 45 psi when they prepped it for delivery?

I've run 50 in my kumhos (stock size) for auto-x. But 50 seems too high for street use IMO.

Yeah... I keep mine at 32/28. I also noticed rubbing. Max on the tires is 45 I believe.

I'd be scared to run much more than 38 for street.
