I just had to buy my :mad: 4th :mad: one last week. It was $75.00 and it took me about 5 minutes to replace the old one. Not hard at all.

Can you briefly explain how you did it?Please!
Now if I could only convince the dealer that I Know it's the O2 so they could gimme one 4 free!(it is under waranty)

If it is under warranty, the dealer will not warranty work you do yourself. They say it is because they have no way of knowning if it was performed correctly, and they would definitely not warranty any further work in that area. I had hoped they'd just give me an O2 for the recall and I could do it at my house instead of taking a whole day out of my life to drop the car off at the dealer...no dice.

Metric Huntington LI hasthe front sensor in stock and they are taking me in today!
Is it the front one that usualy goes bad?

The O2 sensor should be covered under a warranty. I was informed that there was problem with them from the start on some imprezas. It was a factory recall for me on a MY00 RS sedan.
