I just have a question about some of the features of the new TurboXS UTEC.

Maybe it's my lack of knowledge about my car (which is probably the case) but...

Am I going to be able to monitor and log data about the car through stock sensors?

For example, right now, the only gauge I have is a Boost Gauge (Blitz TT) I don't have a EGT gauge and was looking at getting one. Am I going to be able to monitor that stuff real-time (on a laptop) via any stock sensors, thus eliminating my need for aftermarket gauges? Maybe through one of the nice GUI interfaces that one of you nice, smart, good-looking guys are going to write? :D

If the answer is yes (which I think it is) what kind of stats am I going to be able to monitor? EGT, Oil Temp, etc?

I'd love to be able to monitor all of those on one LCD screen.

Actually, I have a perfect example of what I want... There's a video out there on the Internet of a Skyline GT-R. I'm not sure if it's stock, but at least on this one there's an LCD screen in the center of the console.

The first display looks like it might be Boost and Speed.
Press a button and the next screen has 7 small "bar graphs".

The first four are Boost, Throttle, Injector, Oil Temp... I can't read the other 3, but I'm guessing Water Temp, EGT, and something else

Push the same button again and you get the SWEETEST display. G-force meter :D

I'll try to find a place that you can download the movie from, since I've had it a while and can't remember where I got it from. If I can't find it, I might throw it on my FTP server. I'll let you all know.

But ANYWAYS... That's what I want :)

If anyone out there knows what I'm talking about and can tell me where I can find one, PLEASE let me know. It's totally BA.

I am not the one to answer the question, but it is my understanding that the UTEC can do SOME logging, but I don't think the serial port would be able to dish out the kind of info you are looking for in real time. I also don't think it's capable of reading all the sensors you are interested in, but it's possible that future versions/upgrades might allow for this.

Sounds like your talking about the HKS CAMP system. Electronic meters that go through a audio system screen.

I have 10 or so Top Gear videos, including that Skyline program, along with a few dozen other odd car clips. If someone likes, I will put them up on a web and/or ftp site tomorrow.
