View Full Version : Original I_Club Theme Song
Ok, so the spouse has created a song for the IClub. It's on Ampcast, so download it and give it a listen!
http://www.ampcast.com/pummelthemonkey
Scroll down, and it's at the very bottom. If you feel like checking out his Survivor Spoofs and BTVS tunes, feel free to check those out too.

Heheh, not bad http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/tongue.gif Don't touch turbo boost...Something tells me you shouldn't touch turbo boost...
T-REX 03-20-2001, 05:19 AM haha, Awesome, was that a sample of KITT from Knight Rider?
Yup, that's KITT talking about turbo boost.
And the first quote:"Do you to drive or shall I?" is KARR, the evil twin to KITT from KnightRider...remember that episode?
The car sound effects are a Sube, that we got off of this site!
If you download it, we can figure out how many people have listened, if you just hit play, it doesn't show up and we won't know if people are listening...

T-REX 03-20-2001, 07:31 AM awwww .... KITT and KARR ... THEee best car battle ever http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif Those episodes were some of my favourites. Listened to the song a couple times now, liking it more and more... Good Job!
RedBeard 03-20-2001, 11:51 AM Thank you for the kind words. It's just a hobby.
But it's fun.
HondaH8er 03-20-2001, 12:47 PM Very nice! And I dl'd it, so there's one more count for you. Thank goodness for cable modem, only took 19 seconds http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif How long did it take you to put that together?
RS-LOVER 03-20-2001, 12:52 PM Pretty cool, nice job. I just couldn't hear the words very well.http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/frown.gif But I love the Knight Rider inserts.http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif
crash 03-20-2001, 02:00 PM Flea,
Can you post lyrics too?
I would love to see them, the sound quality of the vocals is not perfect, but if it was it would probably defeat the purpose of the scratchy guitar.
Thanks,
Nate
RedBeard 03-20-2001, 02:36 PM Hi.
I'll post the words here...
I was kind of going for an Al Jorgensen-distorted-vocals-Ministry type of thing. But it is a bit hard to understand.
Anyway, thanks again for listening! I know it's not the greatest song ever, but hey...
I think these are pretty much in order. And I apologize for those I left out. (Hey... There's my sequel!) ;-)
Thanks again for DLing it!

You need to put Fido in there http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/tongue.gif Heh, it's a cool song, though...Very nicely done...Yes, how long did it take you to put together?
Hey, this is the wife, that had to leave the room while he did the vocals last night...
But he's had the bass and the drums and guitar done for a few months. Overall he's spent some time, it's hard to say. He'd go away from it for awhile, and then come back to it. It's really helpful to have recording software on the computer, it makes it much easier. Anyone wanna buy a four-track (he just uses the computer exclusively now)?
remarcable 03-20-2001, 04:21 PM That's great! Love the bass track.

SnapperHead 03-21-2001, 01:44 AM Was that also the General Lee I heard?
Nice job.
UnderAgeEnthusiast 03-21-2001, 01:46 AM Kewl - it says my name http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif
RedBeard 03-21-2001, 04:13 AM remarcable: Thanks man. The story of the bass track is a strange one. I started it with a Fender Jazz, sold the jazz before I was done and bought a Warwick Streamer. I re-mixed it a few times, changed some things around, and now I can't tell which bass is where. To be honest, I did the best I could to make the Warwick take on the growl of a Jazz, so hopefully it's not noticable anyway.
5 Door Man 03-21-2001, 07:03 AM Very cool, RedBeard. It's found a home amongst my other 2.5 gigs or so of MP3s. Now I just need a CD writer so I can listen to it IN my Impreza!!!
webkris 03-21-2001, 07:50 AM Cool song dude! - Kris
Webkris-he's our leader, and the first name in the song!
Necromancer 03-21-2001, 11:59 AM Aww man, snubbed again. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/frown.gif
Nice work .. had me chuckling at work toady...
RallyGuy2k 03-21-2001, 12:55 PM That's GREAT man....course I'm with Necro..http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/frown.gif...
But that's really cool...gonna add it to my pre-race car drivin' disk...http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif
The vocals REALLY had that Ministry "Jesus Built My HotRod" feel....mission accomplished!...sounds great!

Maybe if I twist his arm, he'll add more lyrics to add to the list of names. How long do you think it would be to get all 5000 or so names??http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif
LuketheDog 03-22-2001, 11:59 AM Hmmm, would it be as long as "Freebird?"
RedBeard 03-22-2001, 04:47 PM Woops! Dang.
Next time?
;-)
Lurker 03-23-2001, 01:48 AM This is the problem with lurking. Even though you've been around for a long time, you don't get your name in cool songs! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/tongue.gif
-Ivan
/me hopes that posting to this thread gets me a spot in the next song
Hmm, I think it's working...if we keep up the arm twisting, Bill will be forced to do a Sequel...I-Club II-the return of the forgotten names!
LuketheDog 03-30-2001, 11:10 AM Woof.
Bumping up for the Newbies...check out the tune...
Download this puppy, it just makes me grin to think you guys are downloading and burning it onto a cd, and cranking it up in your Scoobies.
JJTheSubeDriver 04-06-2001, 09:52 AM Great song, I will listen to it in my scooby today on my way to work http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif Just make sure in that sequel you add my name, kinda hard to sing though http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif
JJTheSubeDriver (pronounced JJ the Subie(log e) driver)
Bumping yet again...there are a ton of new members joining the cult...
http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif
Suba-RAW 04-17-2001, 11:56 PM Way cool RedBeard!! Dig the Jorgensen touch. Big fan of any of his work. Now big fan of your work! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif
Knightrider stuff was cool, but the Shag and Scoob stuff was the best!
RedBeard 04-18-2001, 05:30 AM Thanks for the props! We're up to 230 downloads! I thinks it's cool that there are people burning it onto a cd to blast as they're driving around in their Subies.
http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif
I can't believe that we're up to over 6000 people in the club!
Whew! Now if only you'd all download the tune, I'd be able to buy RedBeard a WRX.
