What's this? An Arizona I-Club Forum? OMG!!!

Why did we need this? I guess I am confused. I guess we want our private doings down here in Arizona available to any prying eyes. No sweat off my back. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif

Am I jealous? Sure! Do I think this forum is warranted? Maybe. Do I even like the I-club anymore? Nah. Its too impersonal for my tastes. Too many people, get lost in the crowd. And the site is one big Bulletin board. *sigh* I wish it would get a face lift.

Still doesn't really solve the problem that I can't surf all that much at work. That is probably my number one problem with all this. Hell, This forum is already how old? And I just found out about it???

Ok Bill. I need a really big favor... Please double post your events to the AZSubaru Mailing list so I can hear about them and possibly vote.

And any day is good for me for a Subaru meet. You want Fridays - great. Saturdays - no sweat. Sundays - that is fine.

Just let me know when and where on the AZSubaru mailing list - and I'll be there. As it is - with the infrequency I visit here (maybe once a month) I am bound to miss something.

Ok - Maybe I am being selfish by asking a double post to the list. I just don't know.

Oh well - it is what it is...

Dan,

I've been forwarding most of Bill's stuff to the AZSubaru mailing list. (Oops, I guess I missed this one. Sorry. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/frown.gif ) I don't think Bill checks this BBS very often either. (Although, I think he's been checking it more often lately.)

The nice thing about this board is that we keep picking up new members through it. We should use this board to promote the AZSubaru mailing list and AZScooby sites.

(Of course, now I don't know how to sign my messages anymore. Do I sign them Bud or Red? Maybe I'll just alternate randomly. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif)

[EDIT/PS: Bill (and all other AZ people), you go to www.egroups.com (http://www.egroups.com) and search for AZSubaru - then join.]

Dan, you have never like this site. Thats no surprise for me. You can't have it personal when you have 5000+ people visiting the board daily. Thats why there are regional forums. As far the face lift, it is being done as we speak. I know, you are going to say, "How long has it been?" and I am going to tell you to try to do what we do to make this happen. One thing is to setup a mailing list while making, maintaining and supporting a website with 300,000+ hits per day is a bit different.

I know one thing and it is a FACT. People leave and say we don't like this and that and we will never come back, but they always do. Even if they don't post, I see when they "hit" my site, hehe.

Cheers.

LOL! I don't think Imprezer was elected. I think he was developed, debugged, and set loose on an unsuspecting internet in an E-mail attachment. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/wink.gif

Poor Alex!!!

You work so hard, and I feel your pain!

I work on web sites at work that cater to over a quarter million hits a day.

We have talked about it extensively in ICQ. The site needs a face lift. And I also realize that when you first started the I-Club, you asked me to help. So in a way, its my own fault for not furthuring progress. Maybe all I really do is complain? http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif

Don't get me wrong - the I-Club is an awesome resource of information. Sure, it has had its share of problems, but overall you have done a wonderful job of running it.

That still doesn't change the fact that I can't spend the 2-3 hours needed everyday to stay current. And that is why I don't like the web site that much. Who has time to read all these posts? It makes me wonder!!!

Sometimes, I'll sneak off to this site for an hour, but I still can digest everything.

And then there is that big problem you have wanting to be PC. I say damn the lawyers, and put up whatever we want!!!

Oh - I probably need to take my medication again. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/tongue.gif

No need for everyone to worry. I like Alex. He is a good friend. I hope he is able to run this site for many years to come! Not neccessarily for my sake, but for the sake of Subaru enthusiasts everywhere. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/cool.gif
