View Full Version : Should we put together an info/recruiting packet?
Red-Imp 10-28-2000, 03:26 PM It just occured to me that maybe we should put together a one-page flier with club info (promoting AZScooby.com and Impreza-rs.com as well as local SCCA autocross and rallycross) and give a few copies to local dealers. Since Pitre has 10 RS's on the lot, you can bet that a few of them will sell to people interested in our activities. I'm sure local Porche and 'vette clubs do something like this.
What do you folks think?

kastle 10-28-2000, 05:41 PM Sounds like you have some action items to work on....
Red-Imp 10-29-2000, 01:11 AM Damn! Caught me with my action-item shields down.

Puregraphic 10-29-2000, 02:09 PM I'd be glad to help with the packet if you'd like. I'm a graphic designer. PM me if interested.
Bill.B@home 10-29-2000, 05:14 PM I've got a phat copy machine (BW only) if you need copies (on the house)

Red-Imp 10-30-2000, 07:32 AM That's the law of the corporate jungle. "You thought it, you bought it!" I'm used to it.
Pure,
I'm sure we could use some graphics. Post a few here and I'll steal them. Or, I can post some info and you can do the composition - which ever you prefer. Maybe we could put an AZScooby graphic and an i-Club swish on it.
Bill,
I think we should have color for this. I have a color printer, so I can print small quantities (of a dozen or so). Beyond that, we should probably use alphagraphics or something. However, it would be nice to have a blurb about the rally-cross and maybe something about the next Prescott Forest Rally.

If you want to get together sometime to work on it, that would be easier than doing it over the web. What kind of time frame do we have?
I have some connections, so I can probably take care of printing them, as long as there aren't hundreds or anything. We could even put together a little brochure(quarter-page size - 4-8 pages) What do you guys think?
Red-Imp 11-01-2000, 07:08 AM Cool!
I was thinking of a one page flier with a couple of graphics, the club URLs and some SCCA auto-X/rally-X info. Maybe we could add some info about the local race tracks (FIR & PIR) and upcomming events. If were more organize (with regular meetings, officers, etc.) we could put contact and membership info.

Bill.B 11-01-2000, 07:52 AM don't forget to talk to the tracks about the idea, they may have some killer art and MAY even toss some pennies your way for the exposure...

Danny5 11-01-2000, 09:39 AM Don't forget to add the AZ Subaru Mailing List to that!
We have calendars, files section, and we don't bite!

kastle 11-01-2000, 05:04 PM very interesting there red...
Red-Imp 11-01-2000, 06:30 PM Sometimes things just sound funny in my head, but don't quite transfer to print. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif
Surely someone else has seen that old animated Heavy Metal movie. There was a vignette in it with two drugged-out aliens flying a space ship. One of them says "good thinkin' man" in a high-pitched voice. I just watched it again recently.
Ha, ha, ha... sorry. Pay no attention to me.
