Anyone in the denver area get their UTEC yet? If so did you have to do anything to get it to work right at altitude? Any other bits of wisdom?

I'm not in Denver but I got it to work pretty quickly... with my wideband O2 gauge ;). No in all honesty I basically had a stage 4 with a VF22 and catless and even though I only run about 12-13psi (sea level equivalent boost) the map I got for Stg4+TMIC was PRETTY rich and safe (I am talking about 10.5:1 range). Which from the sounds of it is the way TurboXS likes to run things when they mail order out their products. I guess they lean things out a little to high 10:1 range when they custom tune things.

But I run about 11-11.5:1 range when boosting 15-18psi (up here) which equates to about 12-15psi at sea level.

I didn't really touch the timing map much. I did specify timing settings in the 50-60% range since that is the 10-14psi range and that is where I run most of the time.

Other than that I didn't doo too much else. I am waiting for a few new things before I get REALLY serious about tweaking it (new bc and turbo).

Why do you need a new bc and what kind of bc and turbo are you looking at? How much faster does the car feel with the UTEC?

Well since I first tried a unichip, then Link, and now UTEC. It hasn't really given me that much more power really. Probably none over the Link.

WIht the unichip my car leaned out when I came from Dallas (Cobb tuned) back up here in the heat of the summer. So I got the Link. Got the A/F back down to 11's:1 range and detonation went away. Then I have the UTEC now and I have the UTEC programmed for the same A/F and timing as I had with the Link so no big power adding for me. Just good stock ECU like behavior at every spot except WOT ;).

I have a VF22 and Blitz DSBC. I am going to a SR40 and a Apexi boost controller. The turbo to give me more power over the 22 and the boost controller as a last attempt to combat boost taper towards redline up here. A LOT of people like boost taper and for good reason. They are usually close to maxing out their fuel system so less boost towards redline = keeping injectors from maxing out = not leaning out towards redline.
