I hope nobody here was there... I saw it on 9News... now I know I prefer autocross to drag racing... less chance of getting shot.

I was there, but had to leave at 3 for work... It must have happened after then; 9News didn't give the time when it happened.

I was there for most of the day. Right before a pair of RX7 were about to do a tire burn. All of a sudden people down by the track started running. Then I heard 'pop pop.' No announcements were made by the commentators, but when I left, there were 5 or 6 young kids up against a fence with police talking to them. I didn't see the news, was anybody hurt?

It was crazy to watch. I'm suprised that an innocent bystander didn't get hurt. The guy fired right at a crowd... it was nasty.

Man, that sucked. What really sucks for that idiot that did the shooting is that when he is caught, the evidence is right there on tape. I hope this never ever happens at an Autocross, or any other motorsports event again.

The news said that one person got shot in the lip... Kind of an odd place to get shot, but anyway, I don't think anyone was seriously hurt. It was a brawl involving about 6-8 people. Looks like they were all beating on one guy, the some joker pulled out his gun and lets two shots rip.

I was there too. John missed that comotion by about 5 minutes or less. He was going to make a run in the wagon, but was too late. A little after that was when the shots were fired. Why can't the gagsta bastard leave the crap at the gate? The fastest time of the day was set by a .357 magnum?!?!?! Maybe autocross is safer. But, since this was the third or fourth import event I went to, this was the first time the police did not make a presence by racing and having a booth. Now look what happens! It's a load of crap.
